Hello! We're Emlynn and Jonathan, an adventurous couple from South Africa (I'm (Jonathan) a dual South African-Cypriot with EU citizenship), both in our late 20s, ready to trade the corporate grind for meaningful travels across Europe.
After 8 rewarding years each in the fast-paced corporate world, we've decided it's time to slow down, embrace new experiences, and immerse ourselves in the diverse cultures, landscapes, and communities of the European continent. With my Cypriot passport opening doors to long-term stays, we're excited to explore at a relaxed pace through Workaway—contributing our energy and skills while learning from inspiring hosts.
In our free time, we love unwinding with good books (we're both avid readers). I enjoy playing guitar and diving into music, while my wife is passionate about yoga and Pilates—she's currently completing her Pilates instructor certification and would love opportunities to share or practice along the way.
We're reliable, adaptable, and hardworking, with strong organizational skills from our professional backgrounds. Professional Background
Both of us spent 8 years working in a corporate environment in the finance and insurance sector:

I managed the insurance department of a company, overseeing operations, coordinating teams, ensuring deadlines were met, and driving departmental success. This honed my strong organizational skills, time management, discipline, and leadership abilities.
My wife handled monthly commission calculations for hundreds of Finance & Insurance managers based on product sales. This required exceptional accuracy, financial literacy, attention to detail, and excellent time management under pressure.

These experiences taught us how to work efficiently, communicate professionally, solve problems quickly, and contribute positively to any team or project.

Creative & Teaching Skills

I am an accomplished guitarist and love sharing my passion for music. I’m happy to teach guitar lessons (beginner to intermediate) to hosts, their family, or guests — a great way to bring some relaxation and fun to the stay!
My wife is highly skilled in yoga and Pilates, with years of personal practice and deep knowledge of techniques. She would be delighted to lead sessions or offer guidance if the host is interested. She is busy completing her formal training so that she can become a certified Pilates instructor
My wife also has a history of teaching at Kindergarten level and has a degree in Psychological Counseling

Animal Care
We absolutely adore animals and have extensive hands-on experience caring for a wide variety:

Dogs and cats (lifelong companions)
Exotic pets including snakes and tarantulas

We’re comfortable with feeding, grooming, walking, cleaning enclosures, administering basic care, and giving plenty of affection. Animals feel safe and happy around us, and we’re attentive to their needs.
