  • Description

    Hello,

We are Eloïse and Emilie, two young friends who have known each other since high school and are currently traveling across South America for 3 and 4 months respectively. We both grew up in the French countryside of Alsace before moving to Paris to pursue our studies.

Here is a brief introduction to each of us:

Emilie: I work at a cultural venue in Paris that hosts social and festive events. I chose this field because I am a cheerful and outgoing person who enjoys meeting people and bringing communities together. As for hands-on experience, my family owns an asparagus farm, so I spent several summers helping with harvesting and packaging.

Eloïse: I am an engineer by training and currently support the development of French startups, mainly in the environmental sector. I also initiated an entrepreneurial project in Senegal that focused on producing sanitary pads from natural resources such as banana trunks and other plant-based materials. What I enjoy most about my work is feeling useful and constantly learning new skills. I am a cheerful and generous person, always open to new experiences and discoveries.

We both hold the BAFA qualification (a French certification for working with children in holiday camps and recreational centers) and enjoy spending time with children.

Although our professions are not primarily manual, we share a passion for expressing ourselves through arts and crafts, including painting, pottery, crochet, sewing, and more. We also spend part of our free time practicing gymnastics, a passion we have had since the age of six.

We are fluent in French, comfortable speaking English, and have been learning Spanish for the past two months.

What we are looking for is an opportunity to step away from the usual tourist path and discover a new environment close to nature. After two months of traveling, we would love to find a peaceful place to stay, surrounded by a natural setting. We have spent the last few weeks focusing on ourselves, and now we would like to dedicate some of our time to supporting a meaningful project and contributing to a good cause.

We are particularly interested in learning about cocoa and coffee cultivation and are eager to discover the specific knowledge and skills involved. Of course, we are also open to other tasks that may help support and contribute to your project. We would especially enjoy working in the garden or plantations, with children, or helping with small construction and maintenance projects.

However, we are not particularly skilled cooks and are not very interested in housekeeping or cleaning-related tasks.

We are looking for a volunteer opportunity of approximately two weeks, starting in early July.
