Hi there,
My name is Elva
I am now 29 years.
Town I grew up: Amsterdam.

I worked as a; Waiter, a skiteacher, a city guide, crew on sailing tours and on surf and survival camps of YMCA.

I like to encourage people to be themselfs and to explore their interests and talents. I worked with adolescence on sailing holidays and this was inspiring to see them grow.

Last two years I explored the kitchen of India by traveling too INDIA :)
Also I did a volunteer project in Sri lanka where I worked through workaway.
Here in Sri Lanka I helped organizing
cooking classes :) , which were giving by local woman. By doing this, we raised money for kids in need. I also performed as hostes on music nights. This work with the NGO filled me with so much gratitude towards helping others!

Last summer I also worked through workaway , during July with 30 huskies on a husky farm in Norway! I took care of the dogs and cute puppies. Here I learned a lot about their behaiviour.

I still love to learn new skills. Especially handicrafts and about animals. I also take big pleasure in learning about food/cooking new kinda food/dishes.

hobbies: cooking, dancing, singing, survival/bushcraft, climbing, acrobatics. Community/ group/family feeling.

I was staying with Andy and Tanja for quiet a while (during corona lock down). They helped me out several times. That says something about the goodness off these folks.
First the helped me, when i was in need for a place to stay when everything went into lockdown. 2ndly they let me sleep in the attic, when i felt in need of a bit more space for… read more myself. 3rd. they helped me, without hesitation with finding a job (thanks Tanja! :D) when i searched for it. 4th. they trusted me after a couple off days to let them borrow me their bikes.

I think they are great hosts. ERspecially when it comes to the amazing salads off tanja! and the other foods we ate. they expect you to work between.. much and...as much as you like. which suited me fine! it is maybe not usuall, but we managed by arranging or just by doing, you could make breaks when needed.

I think you sometimes it is fun to disagree with your hosts just for fun or to create ethical discussions, which was welcomed with humor and happiness. Thanks mainly to the amazing ANDY! what a great guy! :D

therefor, I had amazing talkes about food, health and about people, the world etc. and about grounding(acting normal) which for me is quite an accomplicment.
I had fun and we had several times a litlle breakdown, when something was a bit to much. maybe due to lockdown. but we could always fix it or we could talk about it.
At this place you definitlly will be welcomed warmly and have extremely attentive hosts. also we are all just humans, so when i had a bad day, there was amazingly to openness to express and talk about those things.

pps: i felt very at home. We could talk when there where problems. And I think the work was very much fun or interesting. I come from the city so everything, around the house was fascinating for me. I enjoyed getting my hands dirty at the garden or at the various works. At this place there are enough things to do and they let you borrow their bikes. and i could drive their 4WHEELDRIVE AWESOME! which was totally wicked awesome! i really recommand for sight seeing this place (to visit the city graz, where i made many friends) or by walking is also very nice in this quiete area. oh the friends I made I made through andy and tanja cause they invite a lot off people to help hands on the building project! (sorry for my creative (uncorrect) sentences) but not sorry ! ;p

i mis the rustique nature of the place and the quieteness already
