Description
Kia ora (hello)! I'm Eloise, a 25-year-old from New Zealand.
Growing up, I spent a lot of time surrounded by nature, meaning I've always loved the outdoors. Whether it's swimming in the ocean, hiking, cycling, or discovering somewhere new, this is where I feel happiest!
Professionally, I have a background in architecture and sustainability. I'm passionate about contributing to buildings that are good for both people and the planet, and I love exploring the architecture, history, and culture of the places I visit.
I'm spending the second half of 2026 travelling around Europe, including hiking, bikepacking, and a van trip. Workaway feels like the perfect opportunity to connect with a community, contribute wherever I can, learn new skills, and experience everyday life in new places.
I'm easy-going, hardworking, and always happy to get stuck in. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and would love to help out while sharing stories, meals, and adventures along the way. -

More details about your skills
I have a Master's degree in Architecture and have spent the past three and a half years working in sustainability and infrastructure advisory consulting. Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment has helped me develop strong communication, organisation, and project management skills. Alongside my role, I was part of our Early Career Professionals Committee, where I loved organising networking events, workshops, and social activities that brought people together.
During university, I worked as a tutor for three years, supporting students from a range of backgrounds. This taught me how to communicate clearly, adapt my approach to different learning styles, and create a positive, encouraging environment.
I'm also comfortable living and working outdoors and in shared environments. In 2023, I completed Outward Bound New Zealand, which strengthened my resilience, teamwork, and adaptability. Since then, I've continued to challenge myself through endurance events, including marathons and a Half Ironman, which have reinforced the importance of perseverance, planning, and staying positive.
Before my professional career, I worked in a variety of hospitality and retail roles, giving me experience in customer service, teamwork, and working under pressure. I'm a quick learner, enjoy getting stuck into practical tasks, and am always excited to pick up new skills. -
