Hi!
I'm Elvan, a turkish-austrian biologist and cat-mom of 2 living in Graz. I have just finished my additional training in nature education and am a certified nature guide here in Austria. Teaching is my passion, as well as discovering new ecosystems, environments and species all around the world.
"elvan" in old turkish means diversity, diverse, colorful or variant - so expect a person with probably +100 interests, maximum joy and endless curiosity for what the world has to offer us.

To me, it is important to travel not as a visitor, but as a contributor and participant. We are not guests on this planet, we are one puzzle piece. Everywhere I go, I want to give and share wether that is in conservational activities, music and art exchange or spiritual connection with nature, the people and the space around us.

I'd love to learn spanish, catalan and farsi! And I can teach english, german and a little turkish. Turkish is my mother tounge and I speak fluently but I never once learned grammar or syntax ;)

I studied paleobiology, ecology (freshwater systems) and evolutionary biology. Basically, I have a good understanding of natural systems and connections and can teach all kinds of biology related stuff.
Gardening, cooking, music and dance are my greatest passion and skills. I am also good with children and animals (cat mom of 2 cats, one years old brothers).

Fue muy lindo conocer a Elvan. Es una persona muy simpática!! Me ayudó mucho con problemas de plagas en la huerta. Estuvo investigando cómo poder resolver los problemas en las plantas de zapallo, tomates y vides. Muchas gracias por tu aporte.

Elvan was visiting me with Santa Fe's heat. She really helped me a lot with all the tasks I had, always taking care to adapt to the way of life I lead at home and sharing talks about life, biology and philosophies. Unfortunately we were not able to visit the reserve. Maybe next time.
