My next destination:
Scotland, United Kingdom - from Jan 2024 until May 2024 View allDescription
I was raised in a pioneering 200 acre eco-cultural / ecotourism project in the rural west of Ireland.
I spent most of my adult life working in almost all areas of the business - hosting, marketing, product development, networking, online presence, photography, land management, cultural presentations, music performance, refurbishments, basic gardening, cooking etc etc.
My interests...
First and foremost, nature and the environment.
Then in no particular order... kindness, hearty laughs, deep conversations, rambling streams of consciousness, great stories, great music, off-beaten paths, offbeat humour :)
I aspire to gather as much knowledge on ecology, agroecology, native land practices, self build techniques and regenerative culture as I can during my travels.
While I enjoy my alone time, I also enjoy working with others, building something together as a team. I hope to exchange my work/labour and cultural background for experiential place-based learning and the opportunity to meet some inspiring people.Languages

What else ...
My family home was also a small hill farm and so I spent most of my youth enthusiastically tending to the animals - sheep, donkeys, cows, horses, dogs - as part of life there. I also did quite a bit of pet-sitting/ housesitting over the years through the website Trusted Housesitters.
Aside from the family business, I have a background in visual art and a little in music (Irish harp / cello / tin whistle).
I really enjoy experiencing new cultures, and having spent most of my life in my family business, I am now taking the time to travel around Northern Europe, hoping to learn new skills and find some soulful exchanges along the way....Some more information
