Hello! I love nature and arts and crafts, and sometimes I even do arts and crafts out in nature. Very soon I am going to New Zealand on a working-holiday visa and I want to get to know local people and learn about the native ecosystems of the country. I studied Environmental Science in college and hope to make a positive impact on the places I visit and learn about the creatures that live there! I had pet chickens growing up and I love chickens. I enjoy hiking, yoga, and pondering.

I stayed with Adeline and Andy for about a week and had a lovely time. The work was mostly gardening; weeding to prepare the garden for summer. Russell is a great place to see native birds, and from Adeline and Andy's property I saw kiwi. Adeline brought me along to yoga classes, coffee with her friends, and even sailing!

Mark and Maz were generous and kind hosts. The common spaces they provided for volunteers were nice and their property is beautiful and peaceful. I stayed with Justine in January and I felt welcomed and comfortable in her home. I helped with house cleaning and weeding. Justine took me to see the redwoods at night and to see glow worms! I had a lovely time.

Jane and Kelly were amazing hosts and I had a lovely and peaceful time with them. I stayed for six days and helped in the garden and with making plum jam! Evelyn and Jon are kind people who care deeply for their animals. I enjoyed working in the garden, playing with Maggie the dog, and seeing glow worms in the stream. My two weeks with them was a nice beginning to my time in New Zealand!
