Description

I am currently travelling around northern Queensland and eventually plan to head south down the east coast!
I love nature and the outdoors, being an ecologist, ranger, and mountain leader back home, I work outside, and equally spend a lot of my free time outdoors whether I'm reading, climbing or running.
I also love travelling (surprising right) and am an extremely open and easy-going person, so love learning about new outlooks, cultures, and just general ways of living.

I have worked as a countryside/ wildlife ranger for 2.5 years. This has given me experience in environmental management including in the thinning and planting of woodlands, clearing and spraying of invasive species, digging of many holes for outdoor furniture such as benches and stairs, creating and management of paths/ trails, and much more.
I have also worked as an ecologist for 1 year in total so have a good understanding and interest in nature as a whole. This is also built on a 6 month stint in South Africa during which I lived and worked on a remote research station in the Soutpansberg mountains collecting data of a primate troop.
Besides this, I have worked sporadically as a carpenter when i have struggled to find work outdoors.

Personally, I also keep fit through hiking, running and climbing, having recently achieved my mountain leader qualification, i have years of experience of keeping personal, and now other's safety, when outdoors in the mountains/ greater wilderness.

Whether valid in Australia I am unsure, but I also have my outdoor first aid, chainsaw, ATV, pesticides, and brush cutting certificates, along with experience of driving small plant machinery, 4 wheel drives, and trailer towing.
