Description
Hi! I'm Chiara (23) from Italy (Bologna), 5th year medical student.
After a very intense year of studying, I’ve felt a strong need to take a break, step out of my comfort zone and experience something new sooo... I planned my first solo trip to Sri Lanka! It seems the perfect place to start with: people hospitality, nature and the possibility to communicate in English. Here, I'm looking for opportunities to live the local culture, meet new people and travellers and enrich my self, learning new skills or contributing with mines. I'm adaptable, not worried abt gettin my hands dirty and open to any kind of experience! :)
I’m naturally a bit introverted, but I open up quickly when I feel surrounded by the right people. I love any kind of sport and spending time outdoors - trekking, camping, or sailing. At the same time, I also enjoy quiet moments, deep talks or simply slowing down. I love adventures, better if shared with friends. I'm not a risk seaker, but I love challenging myself and being involved. -

More details about your skills
I'm currently in my 5th year of Medicine and Surgery university. Last year, I've spent 6 months in Norway within Erasmus program. I'm mother tongue Italian and I have a certificated advanced level of English (C1); so I could teach both!
Since starting uni, I have helped a little girl with some learning difficulties with school homework for 4 years and I'm currently babysitting two girls (3, 7 yo). I've always loved spending time with children, I'm patient and creative, I always find a way to have fun together! I'm careful and responsible, ofc
I love cooking and I'm pretty good at it. I find it an amazing way to calm down, show love and share simple moments around the table! I could teach some Italian recipies, help in the kitchen and I would love learning traditional local recipies too :)
At home, I'm tidy and I always take care of house cleaning.
I'm very sportive, after years of swimming and volleyball, I switched to ultimate frisbee at a competitive level. In winter I go skiing and in summer I go sailing or I do trekkings. I love spending time in nature which always makes me realize how big and small at the same time I am. I enjoy camping too and I did it a lot when I was in Norway.I'm very adaptable also thanks to these experiences.
I also enjoy simple moments such as reading a book or making a sketch. I like diys and I always try to up-cycle clothes or objects to give them a second life!
I'm not worried about getting my hands dirty at all and I'd be very happy to learn any new skill that could be useful to you ... I learn quickly! -
