    Description

We have a great opportunity for 1 female organised and motivated helper to stay in our lovely, forest house on the outskirts of Melbourne CBD. Great public transport, walking/hiking, nearby tennis courts, river, rainforest... friendly family (a professional couple, 2 kids, a big playful dog).

    helping us clean the house.

It's not very hard work, we have been hosting for 7 years and the lifestyle here is wonderful. You just need to be organised and motivated, and happy to hunker down with our little family during this time.

**** IMPORTANT**** : Due to the Corona virus, you must have been in Australia *for the last month at least*.
And be in really good health, no sniffles, colds or the flu symptoms.

If you join us we will keep each other well by avoiding non-essential contact with other people.
I have a compromised immune system so need to be careful.

We live in a fascinating part of the world.

It is very easy to travel around Melbourne and greater Victoria from here. We can help you plan interesting day trips to amazing scenic destinations, such as to see penguins at Philip Island or tour the Great Ocean Road or explore the art galleries.

You have complete free time on the weekends and when not working. We are very flexible when you want to work your hours.

We enjoy having travellers stay and have in the past invited them to join us in family activities such as waterskiing, ecstatic dancing and bush walking.

We are busy but love to talk about your country and life and share about ours. We are very helpful.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

You will have your own bedroom.

Our home will be your home. You can make your own breakfast, lunch and snacks from the food in the fridge, we can add to the fridge what you need, just tell us.

We often cook an evening meal for the whole family that you can share with us, or make your own if you prefer. We love to try new food so if you have a dish you like to cook, we will buy your ingredients and you can cook.

We have a huge, amazing, mud brick house on the edge of the forest. There are fireplaces and incredible views. Bedrooms are open plan for flexible configuration (eg see photo), with a variety of single and double beds in different places. It has 2 bathrooms.

Most of the time we have Mia’s 2 children living with us, but every second weekend Jeffs 4 children stay.

From 1 April we will be in the forest on the edge of Melbourne. Great for connecting with nature. Still only an hour or so to Melbourne CBD by train.
