Profile information

Description
I REALLY enjoy traveling - meeting people, appreciating a different culture, learning new things every day. I have been fortunate for opportunities to travel in many different countries - and have loved every one. I usually travel with family and arrange to get to our destination several days before they arrive, just for the joy of exploring on my own. It is both terrifying and thrilling!
Many, many years ago I was a high school exchange student to Thailand for a summer. Then in 2007 I travelled back with 2 sisters to visit my host family. If laughter adds years to your life, I gained about 10 years!
I spent 24 years as a dental hygienist (try laughing at that!) and was able to go to Guatemala 5 different times to do dental work in a tiny community. Working while living brings me so much joy.
I am looking forward to new experiences, new stories to add to my life, new people to share life with.

More details about your skills
GARY - He has a degree in electrical engineering and worked most of his career for the state of Oregon analyzing auto emissions as an environmental engineer. He has lots of experience with computers and IT. He is also amazing at fixing things (his parents would get him up to assemble all the Christmas gifts for his siblings!). If he doesn't know how to do something, he knows how to find a video online to help him. He is very meticulous and careful - you know every job he does will be well-done.
MARILYN - I have done many jobs in my life . I started young since my father was a chicken/sheep farmer and when our hands were big enough to hold an egg, we worked. I have a strong work ethic! I have been a bank teller, a school teacher (7th grade-high school science) and substitute teacher. I helped start a preschool and was a campus pastor at a college. I learned a lot about people as the receptionist at a drug and alcohol rehab center. I finished my work life as a dental hygienist. I think this mainly is a testament to my flexibility and adaptability - I can do a little bit of everything!
