Hello! My name is Ben. I have a bachelor's degree in English Literature and a master's degree in Fine Art. I live in Philadelphia, USA, and have also lived several years in New York City. I have had the good fortune to spend multiple months in several countries including Iceland, Russia, China, India, France, and Kenya.

For the past year I have been working as a substitute teacher in one of the USA's top-rated school districts. I teach a variety of subjects with students ranging in ages from 5 through 18. As a substitute, I have the flexibility to take breaks from teaching, and so the freedom to travel. Please feel free to request my resume or LinkenIn profile link for more details.

I am very physically active and enjoy hiking and biking and participating in a variety of sports, especially baseball, basketball, football, softball, darts, ping pong, pickelball and tennis.

I was a docent for two years at a world-renowned archeological museum, engaging visitors on the subject of Ancient Roman history. I enjoy watching history and nature documentaries, and documentary films in general. I volunteered for two years with an international environmental organization including a three months writing and photography project research in Kenya. I also was coordinator for the organization's social media.

Non-smoker. Vegetarian/Vegan-friendly. Social drinker, agreeable to anywhere that is alcohol-free.
Lover of all animals, especially cats and dogs.

As a former business owner, I understand the importance of being a responsible, reliable, good-natured, hard-working, self-starting team player.

Over the years I have had the good fortune to have traveled widely, and I enjoy and respect experiencing all cultures!

Ben stayed with us for three weeks helping with our dogs, cats, hens and ponies. He was very polite and kept his room clean and tidy.
