Description
Hi!
I'm Luis. I am curious to connect with others and with my surroundings, as simple as that. I am a patient listener and always looking for a getaway from the city.
I'm a very enthusiastic person, and it's no difficulty for me to get along with people even when we might have differences of any kind.
My hobby is learning languages, and I try to make yoga part of my daily routine. I also practice Vipassana meditation.
I work online (not more than 10 hours a week) as a Spanish teacher (and can also share my knowledge of English, French and Japanese).
I'd love to travel and workaway in Japan, Canada, India, and England. -

More details about your skills
I studied Biology at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. I love nature, getting my hands dirty and discussing social and scientific topics. Currently, I am working on my undergraduate thesis which is about "the promises of modern science".
I am fond of learning languages. In addition to Spanish I am fluent in English. I studied French for two years and I can have intermmediate interactions in this language. I hold a JPLT N5 certificate.
I have experience in public attention, as I worked with a scholarship in "Museo de la Luz" (Museum of Light) a science museum here in the downtown of Mexico City from february 2018 to august 2019. There, I served the public personally and by phone. I offered guided tours of the XVII century building and of the exposition, which was about the natural phenomenon of light.
I did my social service at the children's museum "Papalote Museo del Niño". In this place I learnt to listen closely to what children have to say, and realized how different the world would be if we'd listened them more often. I also served the public and shared with them the importance of a sustainable life style.
During 2020 I worked for the Mexico City government's social program PILARES, where I performed science experiments for the general public with the intention of bringing science culture to a broader audience. Of course, the pandemic made of this experiments a remote experience.
In my house I make my own compost, for my plants, using food and garden scraps. I have earthworms too, and use the compost in my plants. -
