  • Description

Hi everyone! My name is Annika (24). Feel free to call me Anni.

    A bit about me:
I am a deeply empathetic, easily excitable, curious and creative person who appreciates meaningful encounters, the beauty of nature and humanness. I have a strong sense of principles such as authenticity, kindness, justice and reliability - though I am still working on setting boundaries and taking enough breaks as I am quite sensitive too.

I grew up in the countryside between the coasts of northern Germany - with my parents, an older sister, a dog and a big extended family. My mother grew up in Kazakhstan (Central Asia), which shaped my open and culturally sensitive view on the world. I regularly return to my family's home to help my grandparents with self-sufficient farming and processing the harvested food - not least to inherit my grandmother's traditional knowledge.

For the last few years I have been dedicated to graduating in Cultural, Media and Digital Media Studies as well as taking my first steps as a journalist and multimedia storyteller. At the same time I worked on cultivating a healthy and loving relationship with myself and those around me. I tend to lose myself in journalistic or creative projects but in my spare time, I enjoy simple things like hiking, yoga, sports and cultural activities like arts, music, reading. I also love spending quality time with family and friends and use my skills in cooking and baking from scratch to do it for them. I've been horse riding ever since I was a toddler - until I had to quit in my late teenage years due to high costs and complicated logistics while studying at University. So I am very open, even excited to get back into working with horses.

Now, after quite many solo trips and road trips though Europe - I have experiences with being a workawayer in Rome - I finally want to pursue my dream of travelling the world.

    My skills include:
    - Multimedia storytelling and -producing (including Photography, Podcasting, professional writing and speaking, all kinds of PR)
    - Teamwork, as well as organizing teams and myself
    - Being a tourguide and hosting guests
    - Being a shop assistant
    - Babysitting and tutoring older kids, teenagers and young university students
    - Self-sufficient farming
    - processing harvested foods
    - Definitely Art projects and cultural exchange!

I look forward to meeting you. :)

My favourite thing to do with it is simply prepairing delicious meals though.
