Description
From Edinburgh in Scotland. I have used Workaway previously in 2017 to volunteer in a dog shelter in Thailand & an expat community cinema in Cambodia. Both very good experiences.
We will be coming to Nova Scotia at the end of July on a working holiday visa, looking for somewhere to hopefully be useful and get a lay of the land before deciding what to do next. So fairly flexible in terms of how long we can stay as workawayers.
Andrew -
I'm probably fairly typical for a Scottish person in the sense that I'm fairly laid back, have a dry sense of humour and am probably too sarcastic sometimes.
Most of my time at the moment in my last few weeks in Scotland is being spent trying to get better at climbing and getting out to enjoy the tiny bit of summer we get here, while squaring things away in preparation to fly over to Canada :D
If there are any subjects that you could get a good conversation out of me about it's probably got to be - travel, PC gaming, music or languages.
Anna -
I would say I'm a very creative person generally. In my free time I enjoy drawing, sewing, baking and learning new skills. I have a real love of animals and plants - my Mother isn't happy about having to look after my 50+ house plants while I'm away :D. I've spent the last year helping out my family with different projects - renovating and keeping their houses & gardens up to shape all the while being a better climber than Andrew.
I'm fairly introverted so I won't be causing any chaos and I enjoy a good bit of peace and quiet out in nature.
If there are any subjects that you could get a good conversation out of me about it's probably got to be - textiles, plants, animals and anything nature related.Interests

Andrew - I speak English as my native language, and due to my profession in Financial Services I can also help with Business English if need be. I also speak broken/informal decent German from having a few German friends and visiting Germany. Anna - I speak English as my native language, and through being half Swedish I would say I'm conversationally fluent in Swedish, however I probably wouldn't pass a Swedish exam :DSkills and knowledge we'd like to share or learn

Andrew - having worked in a car garage when I was younger I have an okay level of general knowledge/ability when it comes to things a bit more manual labour. Can use a few tools etc, and with working in Financial Services in my adult life I'm not too bad with computers and general customer service things as well.
Anna - I used to live on a farm in the west of Scotland, so am fairly accustomed to the lifestyle and all the trappings that come along with it. I actually enjoy gardening and have been doing so for my grandparents for the last 4 years alongside fixing and general odd jobs around their house. I have a degree in weaving and an interest in textiles.Age

I hope we've covered everything off so far, however it's always a nightmare trying to write about yourself. Happy to answer any questions of course!
