Description
Hello my name is Andrew I am 37 and a fully qualified carpenter/joiner with 21 years experience. I am originally from County Durham in the north east but for 10 years I lived and ran my own carpentry and property maintenance business in Bristol. I take pride in my work I am very practical and hard working.
I served my time at a very old and well established builders in County Durham and did a huge verity of work. This included Period renovations, Barn conversions, New builds and Commercial buildings.
I can do all aspects of 1st, 2nd and final fix carpentry as well as other building trades plastering, rendering (small areas only!) and of course painting and tiling. I also like to do anything type of manual work really...e.g. chopping firewood, gardening and looking after animals as a child I always wanted to live on a farm.
I like up upcycle old furniture and quality pieces of wood to create new things...I hate waste and in my profession I see a lot if it...and its heart breaking to see.
I have a van and lots of tools!, bit of a tool fanatic but I get pleasure from using them to produce nice work. I have everything needed to make bespoke things/units etc from scratch all cordless to be safe and work remote....even a small cordless extraction/hover to protect my lungs as they get battered in this line of work. Also leaves a nice clean work space for clients!
I travelled around France on this site back when I was 26 and had such an amazing time with great experiences. At the moment between my projects/work schedule I would like to meet and help people with there projects as I do like helping people ( good people ) achieve there goals on interesting projects. I am quite a simple man, social and love to meet new people, I like to meet people from all walks of life to learn from them and see things in different ways. Hopefully I can pass some of my knowledge and skills from my work background to them. I love dogs and all animals my boarder collie Sam used to always go with me to work when he could but sadly he got old and is gone now, so if you do have dogs i would be more than happy to walk them for you.
