Description
Hello! My name is Amira, and I am 31 years old. I am very passionate about caring for animals and fighting for their rights. I care deeply about underserved and misrepresented populations. I am a licensed therapist and work in a treatment center for co-occurring mental health and substance use issues. I am very social, and I am very excited about meeting people from all over the world. I speak fluent French and English! :)
I have decided to take some time away from full-time work and get back to traveling. I have done 6 workaways, 5 in animal shelters and one in a hostel. All of them have been amazing experiences and I cannot wait for what is coming next!
One day, I would love to open an animal sanctuary/shelter where people could also come for therapy. I believe animals are extremely healing. I am excited about traveling to new countries and gaining experience with all kinds of animals (and people)! Please feel free to message me with any questions:)

My sister and I had a wonderful time staying at Katina's for 3 weeks. Paddington is beautiful, full of rolling hills and a very short walk to many coffee shops, restaurants, and stores. I had an amazing time here! The work is very easy- 3 hours in the morning and free by noon! They are very flexible with days off as well. Plenty of time to explore the surrounding area, which is stunning. If you love animals and beautiful scenery this is the place for you 💓

Amira spent two weeks with us and it was a pleasure to have her here. She looked after our rescued animals with great care and she was very efficient and organised. It was wonderful for us that we could give her instructions and know that she would complete all tasks to a high standard. She really cared about the animals and it showed.
