Description
Hi folks!
I'm Andrea, an Italian visual artist, outdoor professional, and all-round enthusiast of everything wild, remote, and slightly unpredictable.
I grew up in the Umbrian countryside of Central Italy surrounded by animals, olive groves, and way too much curiosity for my own good, and I never really stopped from there. For most of the last decade I have been living as a nomad, moving across Africa, Southeast Asia, Australia and Canada, chasing wild and meaningful experiences working and helping in a wide range of eco-projects and wilderness operations. I have planted trees and coral on the ocean floor in Kenya, monitored and protected wildlife in the Masai Mara, cared for lions and elephants in Zimbabwe, monitored orangutans and designed food forests in the rainforests of Sumatra, maintained wilderness trails and infrastructure in remote national and provincial parks across Australia and Canada, guided dive groups along the Sardinian coast, and wrangled horses in the Canadian Rockies.
Every place I land pulls me deeper into the same question I have been trying to answer for years, how do humans and wild creatures share a world, and what does that cost each side? That question is the spine of The Missing Link, my long-term documentary project on human and wildlife coexistence. It is the thread that runs through everything I do, and every place I land adds a chapter.
I am a visual artist and image alchemist: tireless illustrator and graphic designer, awarded documentary photographer, in love with symbolism and provoking contrast. Animals inspire my art, wilderness fuels my soul.
On the practical side I am an outdoor all-rounder adventurer: Rescue Diver and First Responder, wilderness guide, park operator, and animal caregiver. I have worked in wildlife reserves, national and provincial parks, farms and ranches, kennels and boarding facilities, diving centres, and remote backcountry campgrounds and lodges across three continents. I adapt fast, work hard, and genuinely enjoy getting my hands dirty. The muddier the better.
What you get with me is someone reliable, curious, and genuinely invested in the places I work in. I bring energy, good humour, and a lot of stories from the road — and I am always happy to hear yours.
Looking forward to the next adventure! -
