Description
I'm a city boy turned carpenter settled to a low-profile countryside lifestyle. I follow the principle of "home made, best made".
For the time being I live in a tumble-down countryside cottage, waiting to be fixed, surrounded by nature. The place needs a lot of work, but with time it might get back to life.
I'm interested in vernacular carpentry and masonry, old houses restoration, mixed with a bit of gardening, hiking, long distance cycling, world history and sometimes jam sessions.
I mentioned long distance cycling but I've never had the chance of finding someone cycling and searching for old houses, let alone asking someone hosting on the way.
I've tried my hand at permaculture and building with natural materials. Built a few things which I'm proud of and I'd be happy to teach others to do the same.
Otherwise, I'm interested in anything from organic music, 6th century electronic music, North-Korean punk, Turkmen trip-hop to anything on history, arts, business ventures, architecture, statistics, natural sciences, macro-economics, cooking and stuff.

More details about your skills
I'm a born-again carpenter (used to be an office worker), but I've built extensively with mud also (cob is a more fashionable word today) and earth bags. I'd be happy to make an earth oven and bake bread, pizza or whatever tasty food is to be cooked. And teach kids all these things.
I've also worked with animals: had my own chicken for a while. Worked with cows and pigs. Used to have a shepherd dog and lots of cats.

What else ...
When kids were small we used to play the settlers of Catan, Carcasonne and many others (we used to have a big collection of board games on our shelves). Kids are now big.
I like knitting and crocheting when I have some spare time.
