  • Description

    Hi there!

I’m Nicole, 26 years old, and I live in the Netherlands — that little country in Europe right next to Germany. More specifically, I live in Ede, and one of my favourite things about it is the beautiful forest just a 10-minute walk from my home. I love going there for walks whenever I can.

I’m someone who really enjoys being active, which probably explains my love of sport — especially gymnastics. I train once a week, and recently I’ve added rock climbing to the mix (turns out I really enjoy hanging off walls!). When I’m not on the move, I’m usually in a creative mood. I love drawing, crafting, journalling, and probably a dozen other creative hobbies I’m forgetting right now.

I also love being outdoors and discovering new places, which is definitely why travelling makes me so happy. Exploring somewhere new — whether it’s close to home or further afield — always feels like a little adventure.

Music is another big part of my life. I play the violin and a bit of piano, and I love both listening to and making music. Some of my favourite artists are Electric Light Orchestra and the Beach Boys — I have a soft spot for those classic vibes — but I also enjoy pop, rock, reggae… honestly, almost every genre. I’m always excited to discover new artists and expand my playlists.

I’m also very curious about personal growth and love discovering skills I didn’t even know I had. It’s exciting to surprise yourself and keep improving.

And last but definitely not least: I absolutely love animals and enjoy getting lost in a good book.

Thank you for taking the time to read this — hopefully you now know a bit more about me!

More details about my language interests
My English is already quite strong, and I feel comfortable using it in everyday conversations. That said, I’m always open to improving and refining my skills even more. I also really enjoy helping others learn a few basic Dutch words or sentences — it’s fun to share my language! In addition, I’m interested in improving my German. I can speak and understand it fairly well, but I’m not fully fluent yet, so I’d love to become more confident in it.

  • More details about your skills

I already have quite a few skills, but what matters even more to me is that I’m genuinely excited to keep learning new ones. I’m naturally curious and enjoy challenging myself to grow, whether that’s by picking up a new hobby, improving something I already enjoy, or stepping a little outside my comfort zone.

If I had to describe myself, I’d say I’m creative and sporty — I love both making things and staying active. I’m also a real go-getter: when I set my mind to something, I’m motivated to follow through and give it my best effort. At the same time, I can be a bit shy when I first meet new people. But once I feel comfortable and you get to know me better, I’m actually very sociable and enjoy meaningful conversations and shared experiences.

I’m not entirely sure if this is exactly what is meant by “skills”, but this is how I interpret it — not just what I can do, but who I am and how I approach new opportunities.
