Description
Hi, we are a family of three (mostly!) and live in the Adelaide Hills right next to the Stirling golf course. We have a beautiful block of 2 acres of bush and garden, with plenty of birdlife, koalas and trees, plus a swimming pool and tennis court. We are 3 minutes from the Heysen Trail and a 20 minute walk from Stirling. We are on a bus route also, but drive into the city of Adelaide every day, which is 18 minutes by car. We are both teachers and have a busy time with school and looking after our home and garden. We have a comfortable 4 bedroom home and can take one or two people. You will have your own room with a queen bed. This is a fabulous location, surrounded by nature but also very close to the town of Stirling, and easy access to the city.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You will see lots of Australian nature, have access to the Heysen trail and become involved in our family. We live in one of the most desirable areas in South Australia, and offer both the natural environment and easy access to the city. We can give you a lift into the city and back again most days if required. We are well-travelled and are native English speakers, but good German and fairly awful French spoken also.
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
We always need help in the house - general stuff like cleaning, cooking etc, and in the garden - wood chopping, help with veggie garden, clearing up, so we can match the work to your skills. We would like 4 hours work in exchange for food and lodging.

You will have one of the spare bedrooms in the house - queen size bed. Mostly you will have a bathroom to yourself. Rooms have a lovely outlook and the house is modern and comfortable. WiFi is good. We offer a one week stay, any longer by negotiation. We will eat together - we eat pretty much anything but are happy to be vegetarian if you are. We are non- smokers and do not allow smoking in the house. Outside OK - but you should give up as it is bad for you!
What else ...
Locally there is Stirling, which you can walk to in 20 minutes. Lots of cafes, great library, shops lots of walks and easy bus access to the city. Cleland Wildlife Park is very close, as is Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens . We have a pool and a new tennis court, so you can cool off and prepare for Wimbledon.
