Sofia staying with us was truly a wonderful experience, and we look back on her time here with very fond memories. From the very beginning, she fitted into our family life effortlessly. Our kids absolutely loved her, she spent hours playing games with them, teaching and learning from each other, and just being a warm, fun presence in the house. She joined us for family dinners, helped around the kitchen, and really became a part of our daily routine. Sofia also shared her culture and traditional recipes with us, cooking meals that we all enjoyed and sparking many conversations about her home country. We spent many lovely evenings together chatting, laughing, and learning from each other, which made her stay even more special. She worked very hard around the homestead, especially in the garden and the stable, and always approached every task with care, curiosity, and a positive attitude. Her willingness to help and her cheerful presence made a big difference for us. We were genuinely sad to see her leave and truly miss her energy and kindness. Sofia’s stay left a lasting impression on our family, and we would welcome her back anytime, she will always have an open door here.

Romy,Elisa and Daniel.Thank you so much for everything. I feel truly happy and lucky to have stayed here. Spending two weeks in Vienna with such a lovely family was an amazing experience. I really wished I could have stayed longer, and I felt sad when it was time to leave. Romy is a truly kind and caring person. She was always very helpful, taking the time to explain things in detail and making sure I was comfortable. During meals, she would always kindly ask if I wanted more food, which made me feel very welcome. She was also very open-minded, asking me many questions and sharing about herself, which helped me feel relaxed and truly part of the family. Having a cozy room with a big bed and my own bathroom was also one of the reasons I felt so comfortable during my stay. Elisa and Daniel are both very cute and full of energy. They get along very well, and it was heartwarming to see them together. They often invited me to play, and spending time with them at the park or at home.It is my favorite memories. It takes about an hour to reach the city center by bus and metro, so I was able to go there often to watch theatre and go shopping, which allowed me to fully enjoy Vienna. There is also a national park nearby, where you can experience nature. If you want to enjoy Vienna while having a homestay experience, I would definitely recommend staying here.

We feel very lucky to have hosted Natsumi and truly appreciated the time we spent together. From the beginning, she was kind, respectful, and a pleasure to have around. She worked consistently and approached every task with care and dedication, always willing to help. We especially appreciated her positive attitude and the way she quietly but consistently contributed to daily life on the homestead. Our kids loved having her here. They shared great times—and it was beautiful to see how naturally they connected. It meant a lot to us. We also really enjoyed learning more about her home country and sharing cultures with each other. Those moments made the experience even more special for our whole family. Overall, we are very grateful for her time with us and would warmly recommend her to any future hosts. She will always be welcome back here!

Chris was an exceptional guest, and we are very grateful for the time he spent with us. We have honestly never met someone who works as hard as he does. No matter the task, bringing out compost, moving heavy beams, cleaning up, or anything else that came up, he approached it with energy, commitment, and a great attitude. His work ethic really stood out and made a big impact on our daily life here. He also helped consistently with daily chores in the house, which we truly appreciated. Although he mentioned being a bit shy at first, he blended into our family almost immediately. He built a lovely connection with our youngest, spending a lot of time playing and engaging, which meant a lot to us. Chris was very curious and proactive, always looking for ways to help and learn. We really enjoyed our conversations with him and learning more about his life in Montreal and his work. Chris left an everlasting memory. He is a very pleasant and easy person to have around. We would highly recommend him to any host, and of course he is always welcome back here, the hammock is ready for him anytime.

The place is really great and very beautiful. Like an oasis in the mountains with the cat, horse and chickens. Also the Communication was very bad. I wanted to make sure to respect their privacy and their timescedules, so i asked how things should be done. They told me to find my own rhythm in the first week. The next week she said that i started working too late, so i changed it. Then i started when they wanted (what was absolutely no Problem but just tell me to start at a specific time, Not to find my own rhythm If this is a Problem for you) The week after Maria Said i was still Late, what simply was Not the truth. Except of This I thought everything was alright but sadly the other Volunteer informed me that Maria came to me to Speak about me… Maria talked behind my back about how bad my timescedule is and that I eat to much. But to me Maria appeaed as always the friendliest, positive Person. I would have never thought that she does not get along with me. She also did Not respect her own borders of privacy. Because of the simple fact she could Not communicate it properly. They did Not wanted me in theire House for Long or me sitting in Front of the fire. But when i asked whether i could stay or had to leave the house, she would Never tell me to leave…? This did not make any sense to me. Especially when you Host Volunteers in your house you should be able to communicate your borders. It felt like she had to always be sooo nice to everybody to just know that she is the happy-positive Person. But in reality i think she did not have a positive view towards me. So it would have been way easier to just talk. Sadly my stay had to end 3 weeks earlier, out of nothing. Suddenly Maria said that there was „nothing left to do“ so they could not provide any work for the other volunteer and me. It really felt like a lie because in such a place there is always something to do, it was really trustbreaking. The next day I heared the voicemail, she sent to the other volunteer, in which she says that of course the other volunteer could stay longer, it was all „the freaked out guy from the City“. I left by foot walking to the next village Maria is not making sure that people unterstand here needs and borders, because she is not communicating it properly. Then she blamed it on me (of course she didnt wanted me to know it so she sent voicemails to the other volunteer talking bad behind my back) So to summarize: The place is great, the nature is incredible and the waterfall stunning. But when you want to be at a Place where people communicate open, are friendly (Not Fake-friendly because of their ego) and real, you should not come here. I think it was a mismatch

We spent 6 weeks with Frank and Junko and received a very warm welcome. During our stay, we helped maintain their property by cleaning the pool, mainly collecting leaves, doing pet sitting, and general cleaning tasks. In exchange, we were accommodated in very comfortable conditions and shared many warm and enjoyable moments with our hosts, as well as with the other volunteers we met along the way. It was a truly wonderful experience that we highly recommend. We would be very happy to return and spend more time with Frank and Junko in the future.

Such an amazing family. Andi and Ella are the nicest couple we’ve ever met, always trying to do good for us in every possible way and making it the best Workaway experience. We truly felt like part of the family from the very first moment. Every breakfast, lunch, and dinner we shared turned into interesting conversations about all kinds of topics, and we learned so much. We learned a lot about alternative medicine and herbs, off-grid living, and martial arts—but I feel like that was only the tip of the iceberg. Simon and Samuel taught us German through their homework, which we really enjoyed. Not to mention all the fun we had sledding in the snow and building an igloo together.

Thesi is the coolest woman ever—very warm-hearted and welcoming. She always checked to make sure I was having a good time. Right upon my arrival, she introduced me to the beautiful city of Vienna, where I spent a wonderful weekend less than an hour from her place. She prepared some of the very best traditional Austrian food, along with other healthy and delicious meals. I had a great time working at her place, helping with various tasks around the house in a beautiful setting. Her dogs are absolutely lovely—I really enjoyed taking care of them. My favorite task was feeding Pauli, the mini pig. And I have to mention that her knitting tips were life-changing!

And this is review ! 🙇‍♀️ Kotone, thank you for everything.you were a great help to us. Even though your stay was only two weeks, we created many wonderful memories together, and the time passed so quickly. Kotone is polite, considerate, and always ready to help whenever needed. From the moment she arrived, her warm and considerate personality made her very easy to live with. She was always helpful and willing to support us with various tasks such as cleaning, gardening, and assisting Romy with cutting work for her job, which was a great help to us during her stay. She was also very flexible and understanding when plans changed, which we really appreciated and made everything run smoothly. Kotone kindly cooked delicious Japanese meals for lunch, and she always took initiative in cleaning up afterwards. We shared many meaningful and enjoyable conversations together, talking about our daily lives and cultural differences. She has a very open and positive way of communicating, which made our time together especially nice. It was lovely to see her enjoying exploring the city of Vienna and watch theatres as well. In her free time, she spent time playing with my children, whether it was card games or running around in the park. She was patient, caring, and playful with them, and the children absolutely loved spending time with her. Overall, having Kotone stay with us was truly a wonderful experience, and she was a great support to our family. We would warmly recommend her to any future hosts.

Hi workawayers! I truly believe that choosing Tom's farm as my volunteering experience in Tassie, It was the best choice I could ever make! Plus, If you are a girl that travels alone like me, and want to visit Tom and volunteer in his farm, girl don't worry, u are safe here, Tom has never made me feel uncomfortable, He is truly the best! I always felt respected. He had traveled a lot around the world, and he also knows what it means been far from home. He is very funny to be around, there will be times where you'll chat while having dinner or lunch together and I think that's one of the best things about volunteering; sharing ideas, opinions, talking about life experiences, bonding even if you are from different countries with different backgrounds. About the volunteering, He was always there, ready to teach me something new and explain to me how to do stuff that I never done before. The experience reflects 100% Tom's profile, He'll give u different tasks so everyday it'll be different so the motivation and the mood is gonna be always high! You will meet a lot of incredible lovely animals! Pygmy goats, highland coos, chickens, roasters, a giant Flemish rabbit and two gorgeous and lovely dogs, Buddy and Freya! All the animals are treated with kindness and respect, they are very free and Tom loves each one of them! You'll have a lovely room and a comfortable bed to rest after work. There are paths on Tom's property that are 100% worthy to explore! Tom's project is bigger that "just a farm"! He's been working for years to make wild life in the area, easier and smoother. In the area you'll see wallabies, kangaroos, wombats, Tassie devils and more! More luck after sunset. Be careful if you drive in the area after the sunset. Thank you Tom for everything! You made my Tassie adventure and stay unforgettable! KEEP TASSIE WILD! ❤️

Joan and Niels are wonderful people. They know a lot about how vegetable gardening, are hard working people, are proactive and always find solutions to issues. It was agreat experience to have them here. Joan cooked some traditional danish dishes who were very tasty and will probably become part of the dishes we eat often. I can only recommend them to any host.

Dante stayed with us for 2 weeks and we can say our experience with him was perfect. A perfect fit. He was the first to try our tent and also the one to have given us a really big hand to improve our starting situation. He is smart and full of ideas to share. He learns quickly and is curious towards new things and situations. His adaptability and flexibility left us amazed, his help was very precious to us. He was also able to organise some of the few tasks he could carry out by himself. Together we finished our compost toilet, planted trees and new seedlings, general gardening maintenance and we set up our chicken coop thanks to his many ideas. We cooked so many yummy dishes and spent fun and chill moments together. He was very respectful of the shared facilities, our routine and with all of our animals as well (they loved him in their very funny way!). We are glad to have met you Dante, wish you all the best and hope to see you soon amigooooo! Big hugs!!

Emma was a fantastic helper, always willing to get stuck in and lend a hand. She was consistenly cheerful, enthusiastic and an absolute pleasure to have around. She was super easy to live with, friendly, chatty and really interesting too. We had many great conversations while she was here. Emma has been back to us a couple of times now and I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone. She was also brilliant with the dogs.

i had a great experience at Clara in the Montecalvo Versiggia Wine Area! Clara is a friendly, funny and cool lady, living in a small village with dogs, cats, chicken and Jochen, the german neighbour :). 💗Everymorning I walked the dogs, feed them and the cats, looked for the poop and cleaned the floor. After we drank together coffee. If you a learning italian, love dogs, cats and the simple life you should defintely go here. I enjoyed the silence, just birds and the dogs barking in the morning. It was my first work and travel and i am glad i made it at Clara! I also met her son and he brought me closer to the italian life. He is a sweetheart. I think it's a bit sad that my Italian wasn't very good, because I believe we would have had more interaction. Next time, fluent! 😄 My room was really cold in march, if you have Problems with this, you should prepare your bag with another blanket. And you should be okay with staying alone for 2-3 days, but for me both was easy. thank you clara for the experience and maybe we meet us again 🇮🇹❤️

Martha stayed with us for less than a week, but she brought a really warm and easy energy into the space. She helped out with pumpkin planting, painting, cooking, and overall upkeep, always with a calm, positive attitude. It was genuinely nice to have her here, both in terms of work and just sharing the space. We’re really glad she stopped by, even if it was for a short while, and we wish her the best for everything ahead.

Andreas stayed with us for a short period of less than a week, but in that time he made genuinely positive contribution. He helped us with planting pumpkins, some light woodwork, and taking care of the garden, all with the willingness to learn. He was respectful, easy to host, and blended well into our space. Wishing him all the best for his future volunteering experiences!

I spent a bit more than 3 weeks at Jan and Stephan's yoga farm and it was an wonderful experience. Met amazing and friendly people there, including 4 cuddling cats, 3 cheeky horses and the lovely dog Poncho. The place is quiet and very beautiful, nice to take walks around the area. The food was great and tasks rewarding. Will visit again if I ever get back to Portugal 🙏

I had the best time at the shelter 🩷🦘🦜🤩 Manfred is a real good person. He takes perfect good care of the workaways. Makes sure that you have everything you need and are happy. The accommodations are very comfortable and the vegan food is soooooooo yummy 😋 He would buy anything you use to eat or drink if it's not already there and you ask for it. Taking care of the kangaroos is an amazing experience. These animals are the cutest ! I feel so blessed to get the opportunity to be around them, and to learn so much from Manfred. During the days off, you can join him (he is a wild life rescuer) on rescue mission or snake catch. So interesting 🤩 The property is just beautiful, in the forest. Lots of walks to enjoy around. Lots of birds. I understand why all the Workaways want to come back ! This place is heaven, even more so with a glass of wine by the fireplace on cold evenings 😊 Thank you for everything Manfred !
