Description
We're Chris and Danielle, a couple from Canada on a journey to explore, learn, and lend a hand.
Chris enjoys physical work and is hoping to get the chance to help build and contribute in manual labour. He has a lot of experience in logistics and working with people as a brand ambassador. He is currently working towards a career in 3D modelling but always needs a physical outlet like rock climbing. He would love to try his hand at some woodworking, but otherwise loves animals and is also interested learning more about farming.
Danielle, with a degree in environmental science and a masters in urban planning, has a strong interest in sustainability, particularly relating to food systems. Currently taking a break from working to go back to school in Law. Danielle is enthusiastic, happy to help in the kitchen, gardening, working with the animals, hospitality and any other odd tasks.
We met volunteering at the local Folk Music Festival in Montreal :) Danielle has also been working with a fruit harvesting organization in Montreal, connecting urban tree owners to people interested in harvesting trees, while Chris planted trees for a summer. And we have both been fostering feral cats and kittens for several years!
We spent some time mainly in Italy working on an a farm with small animals, then Chris went to work on a goat farm in the Czech Republic and Danielle worked at a Hostel near Bologna. Chris' latest adventure brought him to a horse farm in Portugal.
We are outgoing people, animal lovers, open to new experiences. Between the two of us, we speak fluent English, French, Spanish and beginner Italian.
