Desy es una persona muy mágica. Mi experiencia con ella fue magnífica en todo momento. Su tránsito por aquí en el espacio ha sido genial y muy beneficioso. Es una gran persona, con un enorme corazón, mucho coraje y voluntad por hacer, crecer, ser. Súper responsable, respetuosa, curiosa, muy sociable, reflexiva e intuitiva. Ha participado en la ayuda de construcción de muros, revoques, pinturas naturales, preparación de mezclas, limpieza, mantenimiento del huerto. Enorme capacidad para trabajar en todo tipo de tareas! Ha sido una experiencia de intercambio muy nutritiva y también de gran ayuda a los avances del espacio. Muchas gracias por todo lo compartido Desy y por haber venido aquí. Mis mejores deseos siempre para tu camino y que la vida siempre te sonría. Gracias!

Barney and Andy originally planned to visit us for two weeks to help with long-overdue repairs around the property. Unfortunately, Andy had to leave after three weeks, while Barney stayed for a total of two months. During that time, they tackled our most urgent projects on the kennels with real dedication and creativity. They worked through an entire list of tasks and were never too proud to take on any job. They even adopted a gentle stray dog straight from the street, found her a new home in England, and brought her to her new family on quite an adventurous journey. They spared no effort to save this sweet soul. Barney and Andy are two big-hearted people who bring color and warmth into every life they touch. We’re very happy that Andy will be visiting us again soon, and we truly hope Barney will also find his way back to us. Boys, we call you friends.

Sabrina worked with us for 2 months and I can say honestly she is a very lovely person! She works hard and is willing to try any new task thrown her way. She cares deeply, is kind, honest and boy is she ever physically strong!!

Lambro stayed with us for four weeks and was a great support throughout his time here. He took care of cleaning the dog enclosures and the feed kitchen, feeding the dogs, and walking them. He also helped a lot in the garden and with repairs to the enclosures. He looked after our dogs with genuine care, kindness, and respect. We also really enjoyed listening to his stories about life in South Africa, which always made for interesting conversations. It was truly a pleasure having him with us.

We both really enjoyed our time here! We spent 3 weeks here and the time flew by. The work is only 2 hours a day 5 days a week 7:30-9:30pm. All of the students are great and you can learn so much about Turkey from them. Istanbul is a massive city and there's so much see. The other volunteers were also a great bunch and we had fun renting a car and exploring other places on the weekend together. If you're looking for a fun, relaxed experience where you can make friends and learn about culture, we strongly recommend :) A small note for future volunteers: you will sleep on a sofa bed, the same couches used for classes. Each afternoon you will move everything from your room to a locker. It was not an issue for us and easy to do. Happy volunteering!

I spent a month at the hostel and it was a wonderful experience. Every volonteers and all of the staff were super welcoming and I really felt at home. The work was super fun and not to hard. A lot of fun time and beautiful memories!

Ella stayed with us for a week and we really enjoyed her being here. She helped us in the garden although the weather was terrible and also did some decorating indoors when it was not possible to be outside. Ella is very capable and friendly and it was a pleasure to host her.

My experience with Crystal, Tim and the kids was short but lovely. My hours were spent with the littlest one introducing her to the alphabets, play time, craft and games. Together, we ate a healthy lunch everyday. Great family unity and the children are respectful, independent and lovely. Crystal, thank you for accommodating me and I hope to see you possibly next year?

Tyler stayed with us for a little over 2 months and we overall had a great experience hosting him here. Tyler has a very calm, and warm energy about him, he was very reliable as a worker, observed house rules and brought a steady presence to our community. We would highly recommend Tyler to any future workaway hosts. During his time here he helped us on many different projects, including forestry, pile burning, daily chores, cooking and other various tasks; he excelled at all of them. It was nice to share a love of the environment with him and shared interests about fire ecology and land stewardship. We wish Tyler all the best in his travels and he is welcome back anytime.

Francesco is a very warm and welcoming person and his place is peaceful and quiet. I was only there for a couple of days but he welcomed me as if I'd be living with him for a long time. I slept like a baby in a comfortable bed and dark room and we had dinner together every evening which I didn't expect but I was very happy about trying out new things and having talks with him. a big plus is the cuddlebug Orzo (his dog) and the cats that are around and like to be cuddled! I helped Francesco to prepare the area for a jacuzzi and painted the walls there. He was also very understanding when I didn't feel quite alright. So all in all a lovely experience and I hope to see him again in the future! :))

Such an incredible experience. Seriously, being in this space felt like finding a treasure in the middle of the city. Every day was very special experience for me. Everyone made me feel like part of the family. They are all so kind, generous, and funny, and it was very easy to build a good relationship and communicate with each other. Even though the language could have seemed like a barrier, it really wasn’t. Nothing that Google Translate couldn’t solve! Communication was always clear and smooth. The tasks were simple and clear, mainly keeping the house clean and playing with the kids, who are truly adorable. And I also have to say, the food they prepared was absolutely delicious! And thank u Figen for let me help you to prepare some meals with you, was so special. Thank u Ossman and Figen for opening the doors of your home, for sharing your culture in everyday life, and for making me feel part of it. I truly hope to see you all again. I'll always remember you and miss you very much. Çok teşekkür ederim!

Andrii? Calm, smart, positive, hardworking and balanced in everything. He had his first workaway experience with us, and it seemed to us that he was a long-time experienced workaway. He loves nature and enjoys natural and simple things. Thanks Adrii!

I had an absolutely wonderful three-week stay with this amazing family, and honestly, my experience couldn’t have been better! From the very beginning, I felt welcomed and comfortable. Their home is tidy and cozy, the atmosphere is joyful, and the host is incredibly easygoing and kind. Everything was exactly as we had agreed. Emilia was always ready to help with anything I needed and was truly caring, supportive, and thoughtful throughout my stay. I really appreciated how open and communicative she was. Due to unexpected work commitments, I had to finish my stay one and a half weeks earlier than planned, and the whole family was so understanding and supportive about it. I’m very grateful for their kindness and flexibility. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying with them — it was a beautiful experience that I’ll always remember!

What a joy it has been to host Elsa and Julianne. These intelligent, diligent and talented young women have added real value to my property. They willingly helped with gardening, mulching, hedge trimming, composting, harvesting etc. Elsa is an excellent cook and made many delicious meals- a great help to me at a very busy time. They were also good company and very respectful around my home. Highly recommend!

Janne & Lorenz spent 2 winter weeks in our place, just as agreed earlier. They worked well, sometimes independently, and showed both responsibility and decent skills for their age, as well as willingness to learn new things. They were able to help with heavy work, crafts, dog care, and house chores. We got to know each other better during work and the free time, which they also used to explore the area better. Both guys are intelligent, respectful, independent, good with animals, and I can confidently recommend them to you as well.

Máté is a fine fellow, calm and independent, yet cheerful, communicative, and helpful to the team. We highly recommend him! Always welcome back as well! ☀️ 🏝️ ⛵

Dear future volunteers, We only spend a week in this volunteering, but it was more than enough to feel fully part of this wonderful family. We would have been glad to stay more time. This is why, we strongly recommend you to stay at least two weeks to be able to enjoy fully this unforgettable experience. The animals of the family (some dogs and one cat) are really kind and cute. Sol an Sibelle are two young pupies that were abandonned, but rescued by the finca. They both are really cute and followed us everywhere, even if we told them to stay at the finca, they are quite the teaser ;) Regarding the details, as said in previous feedback : the work is more than fair, the place is nice and the family is great ! It's true that there are mosquitoes, but if you bring a mosquito repellent, it will be fine no worry. (The beds have mosquito nets). Queridos Luis, Olivier, Nancy y Oscar, gracias por esta experiencia maravillosa y auténtica! Hemos aprendido mucho de vosotros sobre el cacao, la cultura colombiana y el español. I had a wonderful time with Adelheid and Martin. They care about you and what you want to do on your time off I walked their lovely dog Lotta, cleaned, did gardening work, cooked and helped organize cupboards. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to spend time in the Bavarian county side. You need to be able to work on your own part of the time. They are happy to show you how to do something.
