Hello there, my name is Máté; nice to meet you all! :)
I'm a 22-year-old college student, planning on pausing my studies as a math bachelor to pursue my dreams of traveling, connecting with interesting people, and hopefully making a lot of friends along the way.
I do charity/volunteering work helping the underprivileged children of Hungary living in small countryside villages. The experiences I shared with them aren't just some that I will cherish the most in my memory, but also helped me to grow into a more empathetic person and gain a whole new outlook on life, people. I learned how to work effectively in a team with my fellow volunteers and solve the occurring problems as fast as possible. I also got to try myself out as a handyman as we helped build/renovate buildings for the community.
I also worked in the last two semesters of my studies at a bar of an art cinema, which helped me use my above-mentioned skills in a completely new environment, besides acquiring a whole new set of them (I worked as a bartender /barista, even helped out in the kitchen sometimes). In this time period I got to work with the most wonderful little team; they inspired me to search for more genuine human connections, like the one I had with them .
In my everyday life I like to be in nature a lot; nothing beats going on hikes or fishing with my little brother. I love to go on long bike tours and boulder/rock climb with my friends, or compete in college soccer leagues. When I feel like I need some alone time, I usually read, play some online chess, or whatch a movie (I get the best recommendations from my friends who majored in film:)).

I worked in customer service for the past year, I have basic barista skills, know how to prepare cocktails, experience as a waiter etc. I'm pretty good in handy work having helped in several charity projects.
