Je suis très heureuse d’avoir rencontré Stéphane. C’est une personne très gentille et réellement intéressée par le fait de te faire découvrir la culture corse. Je lui suis très reconnaissante de m’avoir aidée à retrouver mes racines corses et d’avoir pris le temps de m’enseigner l’histoire et la culture de mes ancêtres. Dès le début, on se sent à l’aise et bienvenu. Les gens sont très aimables et l’ambiance est très agréable. Le travail n’est pas difficile : il s’agit surtout d’aider à garder les chambres propres, et si tu aimes cuisiner, tu peux aussi montrer tes talents culinaires. Le lieu est entouré de nature, avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes. Il y a des sentiers pour faire du trekking, et c’est un endroit parfait aussi bien pour rencontrer des personnes du monde entier que pour profiter de moments de calme et de tranquillité. De plus, si tu aimes l’astronomie, tu seras vraiment heureux ici : tu peux aller tous les soirs à l’observatoire astronomique, en apprendre davantage sur notre univers et rencontrer des personnes passionnantes.✨ La ville la plus proche est Corte, un endroit plein d’histoire et de nature. On peut y aller en voiture, et Stéphane trouve toujours une solution pour t’y emmener si tu en as besoin. De là, tu peux aussi prendre le train pour visiter d’autres parties de l’île. Cela a été une expérience très enrichissante, que je recommande vivement à tous ceux qui souhaitent découvrir la Corse d’une manière authentique, humaine et spéciale.🌟

Vivi helped us for about two weeks, we minded Jersey cows cleaning up the roadsides, cooked, vacuumed, carted firewood, fixed water problems and repaired tracks. Vivi enthusiastly and diligently worked whenever necessarily and did a good job. We really enjoyed hosting her and would highly commend her for any position you have available.

Nos sentimos muy a gusto en nuestro voluntariado, las tareas fueron muy variadas desde jardinería, poda de arbustos, limpieza de la piscina natural, ayuda en la cocina, limpieza a alguna áreas de la casa, alimentar a los animales (perro, gatos, chancho) la alimentación muy buena, Diego es muy amable y te da la libertad de comer de acuerdo a tus preferencias ( si eres vegetariano o no ) en el tiempo libre puedes disfrutará de todo lo que el lugar ofrece. Tuvimos la oportunidad de ir con Diego a algunos lugares cercanos y conocer los increíbles paisajes. Aprendimos a jugar backgammon

Noonie and Emilia were truly exceptional guests. They helped us map out the flora and fauna species on our property; an enormous contribution to our ongoing studies and conservation work. Their attention to detail and genuine passion for nature made a real impact. They also took wonderful care of our cat, administering eye drops 2x daily and giving her so much affection and patience. We were deeply grateful for that level of care. Beyond that, they assisted with welcoming guests and keeping our micro-resort operations organized and running smoothly. They were reliable, proactive, and always willing to help where needed. We would absolutely love to host them again in the future, and any host lucky enough to receive them should know they are truly outstanding. Highly recommended!

Ranier house and dog sitter for us for 3 weeks. He is respectful and a good worker. His English is very good and has some great life stories. He is a hard worker and helped us with some tree clearing without being asked. I would highly recommend him. have fun on your NZ adventure.

Da‑eun stayed with us for almost three weeks and exceeded our expectations! She integrated wonderfully into our daily life and was a huge help in the garden (hedge trimming, weeding, lawn care) as well as in the house with cleaning, cooking, and even some alteration sewing. She works independently, carefully, and incredibly fast – truly impressive! Communication was always easy and pleasant; her English is very good, and there were never any misunderstandings. On top of that, she is a very friendly, respectful, and polite person, and we always felt comfortable around her. She even took the time to cook Korean dishes for us, which was a very special experience! We would welcome Da‑eun back anytime and can highly recommend her to other hosts.

I reached out to Annalouise quite last minute during the holiday period, and she responded quickly and warmly, kindly welcoming me into her home. Communication from the very beginning was smooth, clear, and supportive. I arrived around New Year’s, a time when she was also organising a retreat together with a lovely friend, which made the experience even more special. This was my very first Workaway experience, and if future ones carry even a similar energy, I can already consider myself incredibly grateful. Annalouise is a wonderful host, and I was blessed to stay in her casita adjacent to her home, beautifully named La Casa de Bendiciones (the House of Blessings). I helped with organising the retreat and with various household chores. While there was plenty to do, Annalouise was always attentive to my comfort, making sure I didn’t overexert myself and encouraging me to take time to rest and enjoy the experience. I was also invited to take part in the retreat activities alongside the other guests, and I felt included and part of the community she created from the very first moment. We shared meaningful and eye-opening conversations. Anna is a beautiful soul who holds space with great care while also offering deep insights. Her life experience is truly captivating to listen to. As a host, she is organised, thorough, and diligent, clearly communicating her needs while remaining equally considerate of mine. I would return without hesitation should our paths align again, and I remain deeply grateful for everything I experienced during my time Workawaying at Annalouise’s place!

René is a very kind, intelligent, and easygoing person. We had a wonderful time together and would gladly host him again at any time. He is extremely hardworking, works independently, and quickly understands what needs to be done. He is not afraid of any kind of work and always approaches tasks with a positive attitude. Phrases like “we can do this” were very typical for him and truly motivating. René stayed with us for almost three months, and during that time we accomplished a lot together. Beyond the work, we also became friends and genuinely enjoyed spending time together outside of projects. He was a great fit for us, and we can wholeheartedly recommend him. Anyone would be lucky to have René as a Workawayer.

My experience with Gregor and Sandra Li was exceptional. From the very beginning, they were generous, welcoming, calm, and genuinely supportive. We shared several meals together, which became an important part of the experience and a meaningful way to exchange culture and daily life. They explained everything carefully, step by step, making sure I fully understood and always moving at a comfortable pace. My tasks mainly involved working in the garden and, on some days, helping inside the house with repairs, cleaning, and occasional creative projects. The work was well balanced and clearly explained, and I always felt supported while carrying it out. they often were suggesting activities and ideas to explore in the villages around and in Frankfurt City. Conversations were a highlight of the experience. We exchanged cultural perspectives and discussed a wide range of topics, including German culture, philosophy, science, politics, and food. These discussions were consistently rich, informative, and intellectually stimulating. As I was also preparing for my German examinations, the environment was especially convenient. Both Gregor and Sandra were very patient and supportive, frequently speaking German with me to support my learning, and switching to English whenever something was unclear. This flexibility made the experience both comfortable and educational. The house itself is beautiful, with every detail clearly well considered. That care and attention are evident throughout the entire experience. I would strongly recommend this experience to anyone and would be very happy to meet Gregor and Sandra Li again in the future.

It is a nice hostel to volunteer at. You work alone at the reception and can ask questions via whatsapp or consult the manual. The owners are very kind :) You work for just 5 hours per day and have lots of time to explore the city. If you want a chill volunteering, this is the place to go!

Kristine was a truly outstanding volunteer at Mallín Colorado. She adapted quickly to our routines and showed great enthusiasm for every task, whether working with the horses, helping with trail maintenance, or preparing markers. Her love for the outdoors was evident, and she brought positive energy to every activity. She is reliable, hardworking, and very comfortable taking initiative. Kristine integrated seamlessly into our team, building strong relationships with the staff. Her cheerful attitude and willingness to contribute made her a pleasure to have with us, especially during the busy holiday season. She is independent, resourceful, and always respectful. I would gladly welcome Kristine back anytime, and highly recommend her to other hosts. She will bring dedication, warmth, and a genuine love for the work wherever she goes.

È stata un'esperienza unica. Non avrei potuto trovare persone migliori e un ambiente più bello e produttivo, lo consiglio a chiunque voglia fare una bellissima esperienza a contatto con la natura e con la serenità di essere in compagnia di persone speciali.

I had a great time at the school! I only worked here for a week, because the hollidays were about to start, but it was a really rewarding experience. The kids were amazing, open and so willing to learn. It was so lovely to listen and talk to them! The staff was very welcoming as well :) The school i went to was futher away, so they had arranged a taxi to bring me there everyday. Boris, the headmaster, showed me around the neighbourhood and taught me how to take the bus, very kind and very useful. Also, i lived in an apartment with other teachers and volunteers, which made it feel very homey. This school consist of hardworking and well-meaning professionals, passioante volunteers and lovely kids. I definately recommend volunteering here!

What a worker Bryn is! She was eager to learn and try anything, quick to pick up the full range of tasks we pursued and thorough in execution. She was also a pleasure to be around, positive, curious, appreciative, self-reliant and a good cook to boot. We were sad to see her go.

It was an absolute pleasure hosting Luis, Edwige and Lokiz for one and a half months. From the very beginning they were helpful, reliable, and flexible, and they consistently went above and beyond what was expected. Their main responsibility was looking after Dante my young, lively dog which they did with great care, attention, and genuine affection, giving me complete peace of mind. They were also a huge help with the olive harvest and happily took on a variety of other tasks as needed, always with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. They adapted easily into daily life here, communicated clearly, and could be trusted completely. We shared some lovey food, chats and laughs together and we miss their daily upbeat presence on the land. I’m very grateful for all their help and would highly recommend them to any host — they would be welcome back anytime. Fue un auténtico placer acoger a Luis, Edwige y Lokiz durante un mes y medio. Desde el primer momento fueron serviciales, responsables y flexibles, y constantemente hicieron mucho más de lo que se esperaba de ellos. Su principal responsabilidad era cuidar de Dante, mi perro joven y lleno de energía, y lo hicieron con muchísimo cariño, atención y afecto genuino, dándome total tranquilidad. También fueron de gran ayuda con la cosecha de aceitunas y asumieron encantados una gran variedad de otras tareas cuando fue necesario, siempre con una actitud positiva y una fuerte ética de trabajo. Miri was an awesome volunteer! Always ready to help with anything we needed, fast, tidy and clean and so so sweet with our cats and dogs! Always greeted you with a smile and a joke, getting allong with the other volunteers, cooking meals and creating a homey environment at the shelter. Wish she couldn't have stayed longer and we will be more than happy to have her volunteer again one day!

Estos chicos son lo maximo! Llegan siempre con sonrisas y con tan buena energía, siempre dispuestos a cualquier tarea, muy motivados, trabajadores y excelentes almas. Ilenia y Giacomo venían por 10 días a nuestra casa y se terminaron quedando casi un mes, realmente los sentimos como parte de nuestra familia, y nuestros bebes los adoraron! fue difícil despedir de ellos. Tuvimos muchas conversaciones interesantes, y muchos intereses en común, ya que tienen gran pasión por la naturaleza En el tiempo que estuvieron acá nos construyeron una mesa increíble para comer afuera en el verano (hecha de pallets reciclados!!) cocinaron para nosotros (las pizzas mas ricas de la vida), nos plantaron un huertito de tomates, nos hicieron un fogón Entre otras cosas, creo que si Ilenia y Giacomo se hubieran quedado mas tiempo, hubiésemos construido una aldea entera aquí en el terreno jeje! Los queremos mucho chicos, gracias por la energía que dejaron plantada acá, un abrazo grande para los dos, acá la casa siempre abierta para cuando quieran volver!

Techi is hands down the best host I’ve ever had. I was supposed to stay for just one week, and I ended up staying two😻 The house she’s building is right in the middle of the forest — truly magical. She has two wonderful kittens and a vegetable garden, and this is a place where you can genuinely relax and disconnect from the stress of the outside world. We spent New Year’s Eve together at her friends’ place, who were kind enough to lend me a bicycle so I could move around with complete independence. The workload was very manageable, and the days were naturally paced by birdsong and mate — a traditional drink Techi loves to share. I highly recommend this experience to anyone with a real desire to live close to nature (using a forest toilet and sleeping in a tent). Techi is an amazing person who will do everything possible to make you feel comfortable. She also has a lovely fireplace where you can chat and unwind in the evenings. The communication with her was always súper clear and easygoing. She lives 5 minutes by bicycle from a minimarket and she orders weekly whatever veggie or eggs you need directly from the producer. UN ABRAZO GIGANTE AMIGAAA🫶🏻💕🙏🏻
