Marius and Damia are really great couple! They have two amazing kids. It was a joy to spend time with Amza and Nouri. Also really nice to meet Damia's father Madal who was visiting at that time. They live in the real countryside of Romania surrounded by the nature. It is a beautiful place! Damia also makes really amazing soap, bakes fresh tasty bread and makes cute candles. I still wear the perfume she mixed for me. Marius has his own tiny woodshop and can show and tell you everything about it. We spent nice time together picking mushrooms, helping around the house, playing with kids and playing with parents table games when the kids were asleep. Damia and Marius brought us to the Town to the anual market. There are no busses so if you dont have your own car it might be difficult to get around. It is a nice place but we missed a bit a clear schedule so we could plan our time after work as we expected. I also felt that we actually didn't help that much because there wasn't an acctual line between free time and a work. But in general the whole experience was nice, we had a good time! Damia and Marius, you are great parents it is beautiful to watch the way you spend your time with the kids! You are warm and welcoming people. Thank you for all the time together and good luck with all your projects. Best wishes to the kids from Liopa (hahaha) and Joris :))

We had an amazing time with Jose and Phil. Phils Homemade meals were delicious. It felt like a holiday in nature with horses, chickens a dog and kangaroos. We had great conversations and always felt welcomed. The bedroom is big and comfortable. We will miss it a lot.🥹

We feel really grateful for this experience and wanted to share something important for future volunteers reading this. First, just to clarify: the last volunteer mentioned a swimming pool and air-conditioning, but that was a mistake. This is an eco-resort with natural wooden bungalows, fully immersed in the jungle. There’s no pool and no AC, and honestly, that’s part of what makes the place so special. You’re here for the river, the trees, the sounds of nature, and a slower rhythm of life. As for the volunteering itself, it was honestly one of the best experiences we’ve ever had, if not the best. Our mission was mainly focused on filming, photography, and video editing. From the beginning, Bodhi was incredibly organized and clear about expectations. There was a real structure, priorities were communicated, and at the same time we were trusted creatively. That balance is rare. We felt supported, not controlled. Guided, not pressured. The atmosphere made everything even better. The staff are genuinely kind, warm, and welcoming. There’s a real team spirit here. You don’t feel like “the volunteer”, you feel included. The work felt meaningful because the place itself has a strong identity and purpose. It’s not just content for the sake of content. It’s about telling the story of a place that cares about nature and about people. If you’re someone who enjoys eco-living, creativity, collaboration, and being surrounded by jungle energy, this place is something special. We leave with gratitude, beautiful memories, and the feeling that we were part of something authentic.

Irelys has been in our little family project for just few days but in spite of this, we have immediatly tuned together and she has become quickly part of our family. She is a very practical person and never complains. She autonomously sees what needs to be done and does it. We strongly recommend her in any project and we hope she'll come back soon to stay a bit more with us.

It was such a relief to have a reliable housesitter whilst I hold presentations in Germany. On our return we found all animals safe and sound with a "bright smile on their face". Whenever there was a shortage in neccessities like animal food Stefan send text messages so that we could quickly find solutions. So the communication went very well as well as the financial management of our small "Bushman Art Gallery". All records matched! We have already booked Stefan for next February, and we are happy that he was able to enjoy his time on our farm

Ohh my gosh! This truly was something special and the people there and the memories I made will stay with me forever. Thanks to Maren and Mithra you will feel so welcomed and get integrated in the family so fast. I spent 2 1/2 weeks there and it was just like a dream. Could’ve spent much more time there. You really feel the energy there of doing something that makes sense. You’ll never get bored and any skill you’ll bring to the table will be useful. Thank you, Maren and Mithra, for this amazing start of my journey!! I’m so grateful for that!

I stayed with Prashant and his family for a week in december 25. I had an amazing time, just what i needed. It was very chill time, you could join in with different things, the cows are cute and I loved the dogs. I planted some plants, helped with the watering Systems and baked a christmas cake one day. The hours were very comfortable and chill. The stiff doesnt speak english but still they just talk to you, you learn some Hindi, and with hands and feeds you understand. when Prashant has time he eats dinner with you, has interesting few points and knows a lot about the indian culture. Also we did some Yoga and Meditating together. Orherwise there is not a lot around so take some books.

Elena has been absolutely fantastic and a huge help in every aspect of our day-to-day life. She took everything on like a duck to water—quickly settling in, getting things done efficiently, and always remembering even the smallest details. Her memory and organisation are truly impressive. When I injured my foot, Elena really rose to the challenge. She stepped up without hesitation, thrived under pressure, and kept everything running smoothly and in ship-shape condition. I can highly recommend Elena to any future host—she’s capable, reliable, and a genuine pleasure to have around. She’s great!

It was wonderful to have this family with us! There was a lot of pending work to do, and it was just perfect to have such capable and handy people around. The old caravan from 1986 has now been transformed into a comfortable home and is being used in an orphanage in the township. I was also very grateful for the help with our animals, as my daily schedule is quite busy, going up and down to Windhoek for my daughter’s school. Many thanks to Alexander’s family — we hope to see you again sometime!

What can we say? Louise and Matt have been truly amazing, and we feel incredibly lucky to have shared our home with them. They stayed with us for around five weeks, but the time flew by far too quickly. They are everything you could hope for in helpers—kind, knowledgeable, reliable, and completely trustworthy. What really made their stay special, though, was who they are as people. Louise’s positivity and boundless energy brought so much light and laughter into our days (honestly, I’d love some of whatever she’s on!), while Matt’s calm, thoughtful, and grounded outlook was the perfect balance. Together, they were a joy to be around. They packed so much into their time here, and when they left, it genuinely felt like friends were leaving. We don’t just feel grateful for their help—we feel like we’ve made friends for life. We can’t wait to see you both again, whether here or in the UK.

We stayed with Elisabetta and Francesco for the last two weeks and truly had an amazing time. Even though the weather was cold and wet (which made us appreciate the few sunny days even more), there was a lot to do and new things to be learned. We enjoyed the different tasks, such as seeding new plants or fixing old nets. The fact that we were inexperienced with most of it wasn't a problem since everything was clearly communicated and Elisabetta was very patient and forthcoming. Both Elisabetta and Franceso are very kind, welcoming, and funny, and we really enjoyed spending time with them and sharing conversations over their really delicious meals. They provided us with everything we needed without us having to ask for it (even let Ella borrow some clothes because she, stupidly, didn't have ones that were warm enough). We're really going to miss them and Haru. Grazie mille per tutto! Hope to see you again. PS: We really hope that Haru and the chicken will become friends

This was the first stop of my journey in India, my first real adventure on a continent far from everything I’ve ever known. Before arriving, I was worried about many things, especially traveling alone. But from the very beginning, the team and the other volunteers made me feel safe, welcomed, and part of something meaningful. These days were intense, yet incredibly special. Even though this is not a carefree or light-hearted period of my life, this experience became an important part of my personal journey. The connections I built here made everything lighter and more beautiful than I expected. Working with the children was a true privilege. I hope to come back one day and see how much they’ve grown. In just two weeks, I realized that volunteering, for me, is not only about helping — it’s about understanding the world more deeply and strengthening my commitment to creating change in it. This place is not just a volunteer project; it’s a space for growth, reflection, and genuine human connection. If you’re considering coming here, know that you will leave with much more than you expect. Thank you to the team and all the volunteers. I hope our paths cross again. Let’s keep trying, in our own ways, to make this world a more just and beautiful place, one step at a time.

Adrain booked to stayed for 2 weeks but ended up staying for 3 weeks. After being rescued in the Tassie wilderness after motorbike break down. He is a very polite and respectful person towards myself, my animals and the forest. He was always left alone to do his jobs which he always did. He did some little building projects for my animals. He built up trust that I let him use my only car. To travel into town over two days to repair his bike to get back on his adventure. He used both my accommodation over his stay and he left them both as clean and tidy as when he moved into them. He is a good Man.

If you want to live a unique experience that can truly change the way you see your lifestyle, and to understand through moments of simple beauty what the essence of life really is, then this is the place for you. Living with Niranjan has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. Arriving without expectations, without assumptions, and simply allowing yourself to flow with this unique daily rhythm, the lovingly prepared food, the natural surroundings, the birdsong, the deep and inspiring conversations creates something truly special. I won’t say too much and will let you discover it for yourself. But if you feel the desire for change, a change of scenery, and a return to simplicity, then knock on Niranjan’s door. NATA 🙏🙏🙏

It was an incredible experience. This hostel was a place that changed my life, and the manager "Ali Bali" as we called him, was more than a host; he was our friend. His team are wonderful people, and Junos is a man with a big heart who surprised us with delicious meals, Zelda She was always very attentive and kind to us, giving us the opportunity to live a unique experience in the heart of Türkiye. If you want to have one of the best experiences of your life, don't hesitate to visit this place !

We spend two weeks in the Daintree with David and we had an amazing time. David knows so much about the area and it's nature. He showed us all the different sides of the Daintree. The mangrove, the dryer parts, the beaches. Secret waterholes and a lot of cool animals!! We tried a lot of tropical fruits which we had never even heard about before. David also knows a lot about many other things and is great at sharing knowledge and ideas on all subjects, we honestly had such a wonderful time with him.

Gero is one of my favorite workawayers. If you get the opportunity to host Gero Jump at clicking YES! He is very easy to host being super conscientious, clever, gives 💯 effort every day. Gero only has to asked to do something your way once, he listens and does the job to a top standard. Gero always uses his initiative so there is no need to oversee him as he works. I was very sad to see him leave but I know he will have a fabulous trip around NZ leaving nothing but good wishes from other hosts. When I checked the caravan he had lived in while with me I was so very pleased but not surprised to find he had left it cleaner and tidier than he when he arrived. I found this perfectly described Gero. Thank you so much for choosing to spend time with me giving me so much help. I find myself smiling thinking of you. GG

Where to start? Our stay with Nick and Arana was so amazing! As soon as we arrived, we felt very welcome and part of the family! They are so generous, kind, enthusiastic, always happy, and very fun! They are also really hard-working and have built a true paradise! They live an eco-ethical life and are so inspiring! Every day here was a new experience. Everything we did was interesting, with a great variety of tasks: gardening, picking, building, cooking… They have huge knowledge of permaculture and how to live autonomously. They are really good at teaching and take the time to explain and share their experience. We have learned so much from them. We also had the chance to spend a week working at Annie and Bart’s (Arana’s parents’ place), where we had such a good time too! We had a lot of fun playing many card and board games, sharing music, and doing art! This family is so creative and very interested in many subjects, with always interesting talks! We feel so grateful to have been welcomed into this family! It was so hard to say goodbye, and we hope to see each other again very soon, either in Tassie or in France! ❤️
