  Description

  I am a retired nurse educator and love travel and am interested in different cultures. I can help with written and spoken English. I am interested in hosting a person who takes pride in their work and can help with house painting, some internal/ external, planting small trees and hanging small shelves. I can provide clean accommodation, breakfast and dinner.
  I live in a quiet neighborhood, so this exchange would suite a quietish person. My home is near the lake , swim Centre, gymnasium and a 10 minute drive to Shelley Beach, trendy cafes, major shopping centres, cinemas etc. I live within walking distance to Mingara Club, which offers, swimming, yoga, aquarobics, gym.
  I live with my daughter who studied psychology and can speak German.

  My daughter can speak some German and would be happy to chat in German. We can both help with both written and spoken English. We are happy to provide ingredients so you can cook food from your country of origin. I am happy to take you to interesting places near my home. We are interested in learning about your country and culture.

  Help

  Painting some exterior parts of the house e.g. letter box, front panel of the spare room, small side fence. Plant some small trees to help establish the garden. I can supervise the tasks and do a bit of the painting, so you need to be experienced. I will obviously supply all the equipment.

  My daughter and I can help you learn English. My daughter learned German throughout her highschool years and also after she left school. She would be pleased to converse in both English and German. Her father's heritage is German.

  Accommodation

  A private freshly painted bedroom in the house with a double day/ night bed and linen. There is an external shower/laundry/ toilet you can use. You are able to use the kitchen for cooking if you would like or I will cook for you. Cereal, milk, eggs and bread will be provided for breakfast .The deck and back garden is there for your enjoyment.

  During your time off you could catch the bus to the lake, beach, picture theatre, clubs, gym, restaurants or cafes. No smoking please and social drinking is fine.
