    Description

My name is Brandon, I live in an off-grid cabin with my dog Kodiak next to the beautiful Bella Coola River.
I moved out here 12 years ago and purchased this property with the goal of creating a space to accommodate friends and like-minded people I meet along the way, who enjoy nature, freedom, simple living, and being part of a community.

If you're interested in learning about off-grid living, this is the place! My cabin doesn't have an electricity connection (there is a generator, if necessary) or a hot shower, but with the help of my previous workawayers and a bunch of creativity, we have turned it into a cozy, lively place that makes room for lots of good conversations, fun activities, and memorable experiences. And we even installed a wood-heated bathtub outside for the ones who aren't that fond of cold plunges yet!

This year I'm looking for someone to help me further develop the property. I have many ideas, like building another cabin or a sauna, but there are other smaller projects too. There are large raspberry and blueberry patches that produce very well, so I look forward to putting some more energy into the garden to have fresh greens every day, as well as developing some small flower and herb gardens.

It is a super relaxed atmosphere here in the valley and I'm just looking for some positive, energetic individuals who would enjoy the opportunity to see the WILD and FREE B.C. coast while helping with projects around the property & who are interested in learning about this lifestyle and life in the grizzly bear capital of Canada!

** When you're planning your trip to Bella Coola, remember that we're a pretty remote community, and unfortunately, there aren't any public bus or train routes coming here, so the only ways to get here are by taking a ferry, driving with your own vehicle, or taking a flight.

    What else ...

The property you will be coming to is located on Bella Coola River in the beautiful Bella Coola Valley right in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest. We are surrounded by endless wildlife and recreational land along the magnificent B.C. coast, just minutes from the ocean. Kayaking, Canoeing, River Rafting, Fishing, Hiking, Rock Climbing, 4X4 Adventures, and just about anything you could conjure up in your wild imagination is possible just out our front door.

The Bella Coola river is host to all 5 salmon species, enthusiasts come from all over the world for a chance to catch one of these during their yearly migration.

I enjoy spending my life outdoors, living FREE with the peace of mind that comes with being reliant on yourself and if needed the generosity and kindness of others who are seeking the same lifestyle.

Bella Coola is quite remote and the young individuals here, including myself, are quite ambitious and enjoy spending time laughing and sharing stories and experiences while growing our skill sets in many different aspects.
