Description
I live and rock climb in Badami, located in South India, 150km North West of Hampi. Badami is home to some of the best sport climbing in India. The routes range from 5b to 8b+ and there are now some 9a's. I have completed my HMI (Himalayan Mountaineering Institute in Darjeeling) Basic mountaineering course - 300.
Sometimes the climbs are hard to find and it helps to have someone familiarity with the area to find hidden spots amidst the cliffs and temples. I help climbers find their way around crags, set up top ropes and suggest betas and try to improve technique where possible. I've been guiding in Badami for the last couple years, guiding foreigners and Indian climbers. My climbing grade is currently 7b+
EXPERIENCED CLIMBERS NEEDED!
We are currently seeking climbers with experience in climbing. We need climbers with experience in setting and cleaning routes. We also need help seeking climbers with experience in belaying top rope and lead belaying. If you would like to volunteer and don't have experience we could m teach depending on how long you commit. Climbers/ volunteers would be with guests and making sure they have a great climbing experience.
We are also seeking someone with Event coordinator experience to help set up a climbing festival here in Badami.

We are a rock climbing tour/guide/school
We are looking for aspiring or experienced climbers who can help with rock climbing guides (helpers, belayers) . Last but not least, we are looking for help with an event manager who can possibly help us book a festival in the fourth quarter of 2023. You don't have to be here for the event, although it would be great. At times we might need help cooking 1 meal a day here and there but not necessarily everyday.

1 room depending on helpers will to work could be accommodated.
We can provide 2 meals per day. 1 breakfast and 1 dinner. However, we would like if the workawayer could cook a meal 3 times per week. Workawayers could have full use of kitchen

Helpers can enjoy Free rock climbing lessons as many times a week as they prefer as long as they volunteer and do a good job. We offer either free or cheap accommodation depending on volunteers will.
