Description
We are a family of 4. We have 2 daughters in their early 30’s. . We will host 2 workaways at a time. My husband and I are in our early 60’s and love nature.

On Nelson island after work you can spend afternoons kayaking and hiking. Our house is an oceanfront home and is on an island in beautiful British Columbia. The only way into town is by boat. We go into town once a week. It is important that you love the outdoors.
Help
The type of work is landscaping, gardening, cleaning yard, fire wood stacking and staining fences and railings around the decks. Build garden boxes, steps and a small deck.

Accommodation
In Madeira Park BC where we will spend the first week your accommodation will be a brand new one bedroom 30 foot travel trailer.
For the second week on Nelson Island you will have your own 30 m2 cabin with private bedroom and bathroom.

We stayed at Glyn and Marguerite's place for 10 days and enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately, Marguerite couldn't join us due to unforeseen circumstances but Glyn definitely proved himself an impeccable host. We stayed 8 days with Glynn and Marguerite and had an amazing time. They are both very welcoming and caring. The mornings was sometimes hard work (good exercise though ;) ), but the afternoons really made up for it. We went kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, canoeing, … and had a relaxing hot tub in the evening.

I really enjoyed my stay of 2 weeks on Nelson Island. The place is wild and beautiful. I mostly stacked some wood and did general maintenance while working hours. After that, I could go kayaking or paddling around the island and even enjoy the hotub ! The family is very kind and we spent a really good time together !
