Like many of you Workawayers, we have a long story—but we believe that the version worth sharing begins in the winter of 2015 when a series of difficult, but very rewarding decisions, plucked us up from behind our corporate desks and landed us in the middle of the high desert in Bisbee, Arizona.
Perhaps we should backtrack a bit.
Prior to arriving in Bisbee, we were both “button pushers” who hated our jobs, the grind of the commute, the mortgage, and all of the other baggage that comes with toeing the line drawn by mainstream America.
With a little courage and a lot of sleepless nights, we came to a decision: It was time to quit our lives.
So we both quit our jobs, sold the house, and threw everything we had in an 8’ UHaul trailer, drove around the country in search of a new place to settle, and landed in Bisbee, a small, turn-of-the-century mining town 90 miles southeast of Tucson, Arizona.
On a whim, we decided to open up our 8-room flat to visitors and use the space for what it was originally intended to be: a house, a bed and breakfast, a safe space for curious travelers to sleep, spin records, and meet new people from all over the world.
Despite our initial disbelief, our little business has thrived—so much so that we have decided that it’s time to for someone else to share the adventure with us.
Currently, our bed and breakfast is set up to sleep a total of six guests. We need someone to help us welcome travelers, clean, flip bedrooms, wash sheets, and enjoy our wonderful home. This is not a labor-intensive role, but it does require a special “something” that cannot be faked or manufactured:
You must truly like interacting with people, enjoy sharing your story and listening to others' stories, and have a knack for making people feel welcome in our home. The rest is simple.

We also need help at our other property with cleaning, general maintenace and small house projects. Dog lovers welcome as we sometimes need dog-sitting help for our sweet muppet terrier, Olive. :)
