Description
We are a family of 4 with two little people, living just outside the heart of Queenstown. Our property is located in an urban area with rural and mountain views, close to the gorgeous Shotover River. Coronet Peak is 5 mins away, providing summer and winter recreational activities, including skiing & mountain biking. We love the outdoors & try to get out as much as we can.
Our house sits on a nice sized section with a modest garden. We enjoy growing organic vegetables & fruit for our family from existing beds & would like to expand production. We aren’t expert permaculture or organic gardeners but we do our best & are happy to share what we know with others. We would love help to expand our garden to grow more food for our growing family, complete seasonal gardening requirements & occasional help with our two little people & house work. All work is to help our family - we do not sell anything produced on-site or operate a business from our home.
In return, we have a cozy bedroom with a queen bed & a nice garden outlook, plenty of parking, shared bathroom & living areas. We have a caravan plug if you prefer to live in your vehicle. We also have a sauna for occasional use.we will happily feed you & share what we can of our knowledge.
We look forward to welcoming you soon! -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We live in a place of renowned international natural beauty as well as exhilarating activities - the adventure capital of New Zealand. We would happily share local knowledge of the culture, nature & activities. We would also share what we know about permaculture & organic gardening. In turn, we’d love to learn what you may know about organic gardening, your culture & your experiences.

Accommodation
We have a nice room with garden views, a queen bed, wardrobe, shared bathroom & living areas. The room has heating & there are multiple heat sources throughout our home. There is plenty of off-road parking. There are lots of walking & biking trails in the area, a public bus, bars & restaurants nearby.
We will offer cereal & toast for breakfast, supplies to make lunch & a cooked dinner. We won’t provide snacks or alcohol. -
What else ...
We are a shoes off household & do our best to lead a clean & low impact lifestyle. We like to show respect for all people & expect patience be shown to our little people. We appreciate anyone else who can live by the same values.
