Description
We are:
🌿 Katja – teaching music & sports at school
🎶 Andy – taking care of house, animals & making music
⚽ Paul & Paula (13 & 12) – soccer, drums, horse riding
🐾 Mexx, the dog, some chickens, and our horses 🐎
🎵 Grosi – our grandma, singing in a choir
We live in an old farmhouse (built in 1917) in Niederhosenbach, a small village with less than 300 people, located on the Hildegard von Bingen Pilgrims’ Way. We run a small pilgrim station where travelers can rest or stay overnight.
Niederhosenbach is a peaceful place, surrounded by nature – perfect for those who love a quiet, rural lifestyle. There are no shops, bars, or doctors in the village. The next market is about 3 km away, and there are a few buses per day. The nearest bigger town with a railway station is about 10 km away, with regular trains to Mainz, Saarbrücken, etc.Types of help and learning opportunities

If you love nature, a quiet environment, and a hands-on lifestyle, you will enjoy staying with us. In summer, we spend most of our time outdoors, having campfires, singing, and enjoying life.
At the weekends, we love to explore – hiking, music sessions, or simply relaxing. We are also working on a biological vegetable garden, and if you’re interested in sustainable living, this could be a great experience.
We are looking forward to welcoming open-minded people who enjoy nature, animals, music, and community life! 😊Projects involving children

Help
🔹 Be part of our family life – We are a warm and welcoming family, and we appreciate having an extra helping hand in our daily routine – whether it’s cooking, tidying up, or just helping to keep everything organized.
🔹 A little support for Grosi – Our grandma is 87 years old and still very active (she’s currently traveling to Brazil for six weeks! 😊), but we notice that she might need a bit of assistance in the future – like help with small tasks or errands.
🔹 Animal lovers welcome – Our horses are not riding school horses but beloved family members. Anyone who wants to interact with them should take the time to build a relationship first.
🔹 Creativity is always welcome! – Whether it’s music, cooking, gardening, or crafting with the kids, we love having creative people around who enjoy sharing their ideas and skills with us.Languages spoken

🏡 You will stay in a cozy guest room, which we also use for pilgrims. If needed, we have another room available. There’s a PC with internet access.
🍽️ Meals are shared in the dining room or, in summer, outside at the grill – barbecuing is a big thing around here!
🚭 Smoking is only allowed outside. What else ...
🚍 Transport: Public transport exists but is limited – if you're used to city life, this might be an adjustment. The next train station is 10 km away, and the nearest airport (Frankfurt Hahn) is about 25 km.
