Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We work and live in Sweden, speaking Swedish fluently, we can learn you to care for racing sleddogs and how to train them. If you stay the whole training sseason (August to March/April) or if you already have experience it is possible to train by yourself or even to participate in one of the shorter (120-350km) scandinavian sled-dogs races.
We have great nature here and many possibilities for outdoor activities.
The next village is Åsele, about 20km away. It is only a small village but we can buy food and fuel there and occasionally a pizza. There is even a health center.
We hope to meet an open person who likes animals and the daily chores around them and we would even like to learn more of the country you come from.

Help
We would like to have some help with our huskies like help with training, feeding, socializing with puppies, dogwalks, cleaning the kennels, feeding the chickens but even household chores like vacuuming, cooking in turns for everyone, cleaning after cooking and other things normal if living together.
We don't do tourist tours but long distance racing requires many hours of training and because of that we mostly need help with feeding and cleaning and cuddling and playing with the dogs and someone who is home when we are away racing or training for shorter periods. It would even be nice to come home for a warm meal sometimes.
When we are away there is always someone in the village who can help if there is much snow, problems with the dogs or any other problems.
You don't have to work on you own as long as we are home and the volunteers who were with us before were part of the family sharing the chores around the dogs and the house.
If you are keen in learning to run/train sleddogs than we are more than happy to show you but this ist not a must. The same with learning to drive a snowmobile and trail grooming.
General maintenance like repairing or painting doghouses and so on, but only in the summer.
Most of the time we can work together but it is important that you are able to be/work on your own, too.
There will be a lot of free time for you and even when we are away it is perhaps 2-3 hours to take care of feeding the dogs and chickens.
Our chickens are only for company and eggs.
