Description
We are a young family (Jana 38, Alex 35, and Rio 3) that run a small farm with accommodation close to the High Coast in Sweden. We are a mix of nationalities (Swedish/US American and German) and speak English, Sweden and German.
Here on the farm we have a vegetable beds, 30 laying hens, forest, and an Eco House which we run as a B&B and occasional café and event venue. Our intention for the farm is for it to be a place where people and life in all of its forms can recharge, be inspired and fully more fully alive. We love bringing people together here for occasional concerts, talks, courses and cafés here at the farm. And we enjoy exploring the mystical and spiritual side of life.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We enjoy spending time in nature and slowly but surely helping this place become what it wants to become. We are very much at the start of our journey of running a place like this ourselves and we are constantly learning and trying things out.
Our farm is set in a calm valley with where you can take beautiful walks and bike rides (we have bikes you can use when guests don't rent them). The Ångermanälven river is a 20 minute walk away where you can swim and enjoy the community sauna. During the summer there are grill nights and concerts in the area that you're welcome to join us at.

Help
We are primarily looking for help to take care of our three-year old son during the day. (You will help only tasks which relate our personal house and family life, so you will not be involved with tasks related to the B&B business).

Accommodation
Workawayers will likely stay in Bagarstugan (which means Baker's Cabin) from May-October. It's a lovely small cabin with a double-bed, small oven, and a basic kitchen. There is no running water or toilet. For showers and toilet you are welcome to use the bathrooms in the guesthouse (except during tourist rush hours in the morning/evening), as well as the outside toilet 20 meters away. One extra project might include building an outside shower in you're up for it!
Other options include staying in our family house (during the summer), or staying in the guesthouse from October-May, depending on the amount of Workawayers we have here.
We will provide all food you will need. You can have breakfast in the cabin. We will have lunches together during the day, featuring ingredients from the garden as much as possible. We usually eat simple meals on our own in the evening, but we will make sure you're taken care of too.
What else ...
We try to be conscious about our use of digital devices, especially with our son. In and around our house, at meals and when spending time with our son, we ask you not to be mindful of not using your digital device.
