My name is Pat. I'm from Holland and I'm running a small-scaled community-based guesthouse in the Ashanti region in Ghana. The guesthouse is not just a guesthouse, we are linked to several projects and an NGO in town.
With one of the projects and also our own social mission we are about to change the course and to do that we need funds. I have a strong belief that there are grants available that match our projects, but I lack expertise in applying for grants.
I'm looking for a workawayer who is able to help with this.
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
The village where we live is a typical Ghanaian village with very friendly people who are very welcoming to guests. We are a mixed family, so also from us you will learn a lot about the culture in Ghana.
As stated above, we really need to up our game in fundraising, so that we can start some great new initiatives.
So if you think you can help with that... Send me a message!
You'll have a room at the guesthouse and will get 3 meals a day.
In your free time you can do a lot of sight seeing in the area, lake side, some national parks, Kumasi with the biggest market of West Africa, the mountains and our area is great for hiking. The rest of Ghana you can explore during the weekends.
Some of the sight seeing you can also do with us,when we have some free time.
In our direct area there's a big possibility that you'll meet fellow travellers and volunteers.
