I had a wonderful experience during my stay with Francesca, Pepe, Jaida, Margherita and Nonna Bianca. It was an absolute joy to spend time with this family and assist them with projects on the vineyard.
I had my own house on the mountain complete with a woodstove and washing machine and the most stunning sunset views every night. The other

We spent our days doing various projects on the vineyard while Pepe joined us and prepared a delicious lunch for us each workday. We spent the evenings having dinner with the family back in town. Dinner was may favorite time as it was always filled with amazing food, stories, dancing, laughing and I truly felt like I was part of the family. Francesca and Pepe are amazing chefs. They spoiled us with the best food and always made sure there was plenty to eat.
As far as work, I helped with bunding the cut grapevines, staining outdoor cabinet wood, weeding, picking up sticks and other debris from around the vineyard, cutting back lavender and rosemary from the walkways and painting the aluminum fence at the vineyard entrances. There are LOTS of stairs on the mountain so be prepared to get in a serious workout! We had access to our own car while on the mountain so it was easy to travel around the island during our free time. I enjoyed visiting various villages, the local hot springs and hiking Mount Epomeo with the other volunteers. I am so grateful for my experience on Ischia with this amazing family and fellow volunteers (Aedan, Maddy, Franzi, Clara) and look forward to being back!
Much love to you all and thanks for everything!

This was the perfect workaway to explore the most beautiful island of Ischia and fully immerse yourself in to the italian life. I learned so much from the whole family. Work was very easy and very interesting, learning to cut and plant vines. Pepe is a wonderful person to work with, always in a good mood and is very encouraging. No micromanagement

Best times of the day were when Pepe and us made lunch during the workday, he is a amazing cook and you will get to know very authentic Ischian foods. In the evenings we hung out and ate dinner with the whole family. Again amazing food by Francesca, lot of fish, pasta and salad. I think eating havent been the same after this... They are such inspiring personalities, very strong and positive. Also loved to hung out with the girls, they are both such amazing persons!
In our freedays we hiked Mt. Epomeo with Pepe and Francesca, went to many thermal water swimming places which was amazing.
Thank you for everything! Really want to go back there someday.

I wish this had've been my first Workaway! What a lenta pace of life, visiting the sea by boat and kayak, hiking Mt Epomeo, long lunches, picking salad and pomegranates fresh from the garden and exploring Ischia. Even though the work was in the vineyards for 2 weeks weeding until midday (3-4h) I am so glad I could use my passion for art for the

Francesca provides videos for driving and navigation, and is always communicative to needs before and during the stay. Thank you Francesca, Peppe, Marghe, Jada, Nonna Bianca, Bea and all the friends and family of la Isola that made me feel so welcome for such a short time, Hope to return soon 😊Feedback
