    Description

The Garden sits in the high mountains of the Alpujarras, Andalucia, Spain. It is a hectare of terraced land with well established olive, almond, fig and pomegranate trees. The land has not been cultivated for over a decade and is in need of some dedicated love and care.

Our place is in the preliminary stages of designing and installing systems to enhance resilience and restore the soil web. We have begun building basic infrastructure to enable the garden to be a space to reconnect with self and nature, learn ecological cultivation skills and just be.

    POC and LGBTQI friendly.

Site is on the ancient GR7 walking route and adjacent to Sierra Nevada national park (Parque Nacional de Sierra Nevada).

Good public transport to explore the region, Spains' highest pueblo and Sierra Nevada mountains and national park are less than 1 hrs drive away,
1.5 hr bus ride to Granada.
3k walk into the pueblo and extensive local historical sites.
The mountain in our project photos is Mulhacén - the highest mountain in continental Spain and the heart of the Sierra Nevada.
