    Description

Hello! My name is Enrique, and I live with my parents in our family home in San Estanislao (Santaní), Department of San Pedro, Paraguay. We are a traditional Paraguayan family, and our home is a peaceful countryside environment, yet very close to the city where you can find supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, restaurants, and more.

Our family runs a small rural project that includes free-range chickens, egg incubation, a vegetable garden, kiwi plants, a ram, and eucalyptus trees. Volunteers help with feeding animals, collecting eggs, gardening, and maintaining the animal corrals, as well as other small rural tasks. This is a real countryside experience, not a tourist setup.

You will stay with us in our home, with comfortable rooms, bathrooms, WiFi, and air conditioning, and enjoy traditional Paraguayan meals with our family. My parents are very friendly, love sharing stories, and will welcome you as part of our family.

San Estanislao and its surroundings have beautiful natural spots, including streams, waterfalls, and rural landscapes. Nearby, the Tapiracuai Stream is historically important for local communities. In town, you can try pizza al tatakuá, a traditional Paraguayan dish cooked in a clay oven.

We are looking for volunteers who are responsible, mature, respectful, and open to cultural exchange, especially those interested in learning Spanish and experiencing authentic Paraguayan rural life.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

At our family home in San Estanislao, volunteers will experience authentic Paraguayan rural life. You can connect with our family, share meals, and enjoy conversations about Paraguayan culture, traditions, and local history. We speak Spanish and Guaraní, and you’ll have the opportunity to practice the language while learning about farming, animal care, and countryside living. We love learning from people from different countries too! If you have skills in marketing, social media, or promoting rural projects, we’d be happy to exchange ideas.

  • Help

    Help

Volunteers will help with daily tasks on our family rural project.

    This includes:

Feeding chickens twice a day and collecting eggs

Helping with incubation and caring for chicks

Gardening and planting vegetables or herbs

Maintaining and repairing the animal corrals

    Cleaning and organizing outdoor areas

Small improvement projects around the property

Tasks are shared among all volunteers and done together with our family, so you will learn hands-on skills and gain experience in rural life. Some tasks, especially corral maintenance, may require physical strength and comfort with manual work. We welcome volunteers who are ready to get their hands dirty, work as a team, and enjoy being outdoors.

This is a cultural and practical experience, not a tourist activity. You’ll participate in real daily life on a Paraguayan countryside family farm while sharing meals, conversations, and cultural experiences with us.
