    Description

We're a few people living in a collective way in the Pyrenees mountains (south of france near mediterannée sea), a place isolated from road and town.
Our main goal is to restore the potential of the old little hamlet La Coume to allow people to live there.
We run different projects: organic gardening, raising animals (chickens, donkeys, horses), rebuilding ruins with old methods, making our own power and living together positively.

We (Tristan and Maude) are a couple living here for some time and rebuidling a ruin to make it our own house. We are currently looking for people to help us and in exchange we will be happy to give them food, housing, activities happening around in the valley, trekking and exchanging knowledge.
Hosting workawayers is for us a good opportunity to meet new people and discover cultures and personnalities

We will be happy to show our collective way of living close to nature. Autonomous in power and making most of our food. We generally try to do everything by ourself and with local material.
We are multi lingual and happy to learn some more.

  • Help

    Help

We are looking for people interested in helping with rebuilding a ruin with ancient methods (few electrical devise, local material). This is quite physical help that needs fitness but most of all enthousiasm and motivation. Please note that with hot weather, work might start early in the morning.
It is also expected that workawayers will help for common usual tasks (gardening, cooking, cleaning common spaces, general maintenance of the hamlet)

People can reach us by foot, hitchiking or with their own vehicle.

We are looking for people (two maximum at the same time) who would stay for two weeks, with one week trial (not negotiable). We may see together for a longer stay. We would ask for 5 hours a day, 4 days a week.

We are located at the foot of the Canigou wich is a beautifull mountain with lots of trekking possibilities. The mediteranean sea is also nearby. In the village down the valley is a associative cafe with events happening from times to times.

Please note that this is a natural place remote from roads and facilities (the nearest shop is one hour away by car).

The drive way to the hamlet is a rocky track quite impressive for people who are not used to track. But the parking is suitable for campervans (flat and mostly shadowed)
