  Description

  Hi, my name is Diana the owner at the Hostel and only member of staff. I carry out all necessary job roles currently, from cleaning the rooms to serving the reception. The hostel is in Acacias with a friendly environment in the process of growing a fun and engaging house for young people and adults. We intend to provide you with a comfortable and an agreeable stay. Our project focuses on cultural exchange and sharing space with people from different backgrounds from around the world, to learn and teach according to the capacities and skills of each person. In addition we would love to teach Spanish to travelers and show them the incredible biodiversity and natural destinations surrounding Acacias. We invite you to come join us and enjoy the experience of living in and exploring the often overlooked region of Meta with its plains, mountains, rivers, hospitable climate and people.
  
  Volunteering involves identifying your strengths, such as painting or any activity you excel at, as well as teaching English, French, or your native language. It's about choosing the role or strength that the volunteer can offer to the shelter. (carpentry, general maintenance, art/graffiti/painting, teaching languages, gardening, decoration)
  
  
  Hola, mi nombre es Diana. Soy la dueña del hostel, es un hostel con ambiente familiar en proceso de crecimiento que alberga jóvenes y adultos brindando confort y una agradable estadía. El proyecto se enfoca en el intercambio cultural y compartir espacio con gente de varias culturas y tradiciones de todo el mundo para enseñar de acuerdo con las capacidades de cada persona. Además nos gustaría enseñar español a los viajeros y mostrarles la biodiversidad y destinos naturales alrededor de Acacias. Te invitamos unirnos y disfrutar la experiencia de vivir y explorar la región desconocida de Meta con sus llanos, montañas, clima y personas agradables.
  
  Las tareas como voluntarios es identificar sus fortalezas, como pintar, ó actividad en la que mejor se desempeña, tambien enseñar ingles, frances o idioma nativo. Es elegir el rol o fortaleza que el voluntario puede ofrecer al albergue.

  Travelers can benefit from knowing the touristic sites of the region, earning a comfortable, learning the Spanish language, and giving classes in their native language while culturally exchanging.
  This is a journey of connection, growth, and self-discovery.
  
  You’ll not only help others — you’ll also learn new skills, face meaningful challenges, and gain a deeper understanding of yourself through daily interactions and unique experiences.
  
  Here’s what makes this experience special:
  
  🗣️ You’ll speak with kind-hearted locals who are excited to meet you — most of them don’t speak English, so it’s a wonderful opportunity for cultural exchange and to improve your Spanish in real-life conversations.
  🍲 You will have a kitchen to prepare your meals! We will share it with guests and volunteers.
  🚴‍♂️ Enjoy our beautifuls mountains.
  🏡 Meet other volunteers. We can get you in touch with Acacias schools if you want to teach english, french, german or what ever you want. A great opportunity to meet people and to have a group of friend to hang out!
  
  Los viajeros pueden beneficiarse conociendo los sitios turísticos de la región, ganando comodidad, aprendiendo el idioma español y dando clases en su lengua materna mientras realizan un intercambio cultural.
  Este es un viaje de conexión, crecimiento y autodescubrimiento.
  
  No solo ayudarás a los demás, sino que también aprenderás nuevas habilidades, enfrentarás desafíos significativos y obtendrás una comprensión más profunda de ti mismo a través de interacciones diarias y experiencias únicas.

  Help

  For now, all we ask is that work-awayers will help in reception, manage reservations, check in and check out guests, clean rooms (only four rooms). You will have a lot of free time for yourself. In exchange you will receive free accommodation. Ideally we would like someone who can stay for two or three months.

  We would like to host you and they participate in this beautiful project where their abilities such as carpentry, general maintenance, art/graffiti/painting, teaching languages, gardening, decoration.
