We're Hsuan and Eduardo from Taiwan and Mexico. At the end of our year-long trip we started a hostel in the beautiful city of San Cristobal de Las Casas, the best way to keep meeting travelers from all over the world. Our hostel strives to provide the comfort of a home for travelers on the road, and a relaxed environment for mingling and exchange with each other.
San Cristobal de Las Casas is the cultural hub for the state of Chiapas. Within the historical colonial setting there's a proud and well-preserved indigenous culture and traditions. The city itself has a lively music and art scene. While the nearby surroundings offer incredible natural beauty, some of the communities create the best textiles and crafts within Mexico.
We believe that every person has something to offer and something that we can learn from, and that in every circumstances one can learn something about the world and ourselves. That's the beauty of traveling and we very much consider this project an extension of our trip. We're learning so much each day by doing and experimenting. We'd love to receive workawayers that share the same value, who are humble, open, and self-motivated, to come join our new journey.

San Cristobal de Las Casas has a lot to offer with its long history and rich indigenous culture. There's also a very lively and young art and music scene that travelers should explore. Just outside of the city there are many local communities that maintain their traditional way of life, where one can easily visit on their own.
Also, in this is house we speak 3 languages: Spanish, English and Mandarin so the traveler would be expose to these languages and could practice any of these languages with us.
We would need help in the hostel mostly doing reception tasks and dealing with costumers and reservations also maintaining clean the place such as bathrooms and common areas. Since the place is very new, we also have some carpentry, gardening, painting, or any other new ideas about decorating the place as well.

Volunteers will have a bed in a dorm room.
Our place is located just 4 blocks from the center of San cristobal where you will find cathedrals, restaurants and night life. You can also find other natural attractions close by and go to Chamula for a great cultural experience. The collectivo passes right outside of the house and it charges 7 pesos to get to main square or you are just 8 minute walk from it.
