Hi! i am adrian, and I welcome you to my little farm in salobreña, on the tropical coast of Granada.
My project, La Selva, is a self-sufficient space focused on permaculture, sustainability, and community living. It is a place for cultural exchange where we share knowledge and experiences about ecological agriculture, self-sufficiency, and living in harmony with nature.
The farm covers 4,500 square meters of fruit trees, including cherimoya, avocado, banana, papaya, guava, mango, persimmon, grapefruit, lemon, mandarins, oranges, figs, and pomegranates. The only trees specifically cultivated are the cherimoyas; the rest grow freely, creating a natural and biodiverse environment—hence the name
WHAT TO EXPECT: CULTURAL EXCHANGE AND LEARNING
I believe in mutual learning, and I love sharing my knowledge while also learning from the volunteers who visit. The experience here is based on collaboration and exchange, with a focus on different aspects of self-sufficient living.
- Ecological tropical farming, where volunteers can learn how to care for and cultivate fruit trees in a sustainable way.
- Self-sufficiency, exploring water and energy management solutions for off-grid living.
This is a non-commercial project, and no produce is sold. The goal is to create a space where people can exchange knowledge and experiences while living in connection with nature.
DAILY LIFE AND INTERACTION
I actively participate in daily activities with volunteers, sharing meals, knowledge, and experiences. We exchange ideas on ecological living, sustainability, and personal development. Volunteers are encouraged to contribute their own skills and interests, creating a dynamic and inspiring environment for everyone.
Salobreña village is just 1 km away, and the beach is 3 km from the farm, offering a great opportunity to enjoy nature and water sports such as kitesurfing, surfing, catamaran sailing, and windsurfing. There are local companies where you can take courses if you're interested.
I also love yoga, functional exercise, and calisthenics, and I am designing spaces on the land to practice these disciplines. I am creating a grassy yoga area and a calisthenics gym with bars to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle.
LIVING AND COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE
I provide a welcoming environment where we share experiences, knowledge, and meals. There are plenty of fresh tropical fruits straight from the trees for everyone to enjoy. I value commitment, teamwork, and a positive attitude, but most importantly, I want volunteers to have a meaningful and enjoyable time, connect with nature, and embrace a sustainable lifestyle.
I provide all necessary tools and safety equipment, such as gloves and protective glasses, for any hands-on activities.

Estuve 3 semanas en la granja. El trabajo es muy chill, y muy amplio: recolecta de frutas, agricultura, cocina y trabajo de obras en la casa. Ha sido muy guay ver el progreso en tan poco tiempo. He aprendido muchísimo, y de una forma muy tranquila y paciente, pero a la vez muy productiva.
