Description
We are...
families with a love of nature, freedom, building our own world.
We need space and each other to do so.
The space we have acquired needs LOVE. And we are on the mission. Maybe you want to be too?
We bought an abandoned farm in the countryside of Bornholm, an island in Denmark famous for beautiful nature and alternative styles. It is fast becoming one of the highest-density of homeschooling families in europe, which means there are many similar homestead projects popping up all over the place and lots of community and alternate world-building to be found.
What we love about the place, is how powerfully the transformation can be seen. When we bought it, it was a literal junkyard. Now we are transforming it into a hub of magic and wellness and creativity .
Very practically-- at the moment we are 1 man, 2 women, and 2 kids (4 and 10).
There are 2-4 cats who wander around who we feed when we see.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We would like to hold weekly gatherings at the space, making fire, music, art, togetherness opportunities.
There is a big unschooling community, so if you have kids, there will always be places for them to go and join the possibilities on the island.
You are welcome to join when we drive out to town, to jams, to events, to the pool, to the indoor playground, to the beautiful nature spots! And you are welcome to borrow bikes while there.
We are happy to share permaculture and creativity knowledge.
We are believers in family, and that we are stronger together. Everything is temporary...so even a temporary family can do beautiful things:)
Help
We are very flexible! We think it's best when people are excited about the projects they do. So if you have particular inspiration (light building, making activities for the kids, kitchen magic)--go for it. And if you do better with structure, we have a long list of projects we would be more than happy to share with you and figure out what makes sense for all.
The biggest first task is clearing the area, which is simple meditative task.
There is always light building, cleaning help, gardening tasks and kids to play with and make magic for and with...
Some of us love to work together with people, some of us do best in our own rhythm. You're free to do either--we would work together to make an experience that suits both yours and the collective's needs.
