Description
Hi, my name is Amjad, I am a 30 yo and am a doctor specialist in mental health. My mom owns a family restaurant in Buqata, in the Golan Hights, and agriculture lands where we grew apple and cherries and where I built 2 yurts for hosting guests.
She works in the restaurant, where she will need you as a waiter/waiteress, while I am looking for your help to make my project bigger and self sufficient.
But let me introduce you to our beautiful family of 6 members :
My mom is a super woman with a great entrepreneur-spirit. She always find solutions, had the courage to cross the restrictions of the tight Druze religious they had back in time when needed to earn money to raise her 4 children and developed her business step by step, learning by herself. She is currently managing the main restaurant of our village along with my brother' Saaed (26yo), the chef.
My other brother is 28, married, and is engineer just like my father. The three of us work outside the Golan but we all gather on the week-ends.
Finally, my last brother is 17 yo and is still studying.
Back to my project :
A few months ago, I built two yurt rooms with bathrooms and a kitchen in a seven donams cherry field located 10 minutes away from the village by car. This place, out of the lights and noises of modernization, gives us all the freedom we are looking for. For the moment, the members of our family enjoy staying there regulary to take a revitalizing break. Nevertheless, I now plan to finish building the area to create a small paradise for vacationer where they could enjoy the nature and the peace of our land.

Come learn about the Druze culture. (The DRUZE- MOUAHIDOUN religion, which has its roots in Islam, is a community of 1 million people in the world who live together). Explore our traditions, the stories of our believes like reincarnations, our traditional dance called "dabke" and more like the privileges of the Druze pepole in every country and the history of our relation to Syria.
Our tradional food is a little similar to Arabic food but not identical, as we get the ingredients from our land, keeping this way an authentic taste. We have this common say- " if you dont know the taste of your tongue then you don't know life at all". In our house, you will learn how to cook our traditional dishes like Makloba (rice-chicken-vegetable-curcuma...), among which vegan meals like Mjadara (delicious lentils), vine leaves, stuffed cabbage, finnil green seeds and many other.
The Golan heights is known for its HERMON mountain (2800 meter hight), its many clean rivers, its hills and lakes, numerous hikes and to change it's colours in every season. In winter we have snow in winter, so you can ski in the mountain and swim in the river in summer!
Our fields ar full of fruit trees: in May we have cherries and in October apples.

Help
At the restaurant :
1- Your main job will be to serve customers in the restaurant, talk with them and make sure they have a good time at our place.
2- In the morning (from 10-11 AM) you will help by setting the tables, cutting vegetables and cleaning the floor in the restaurant
3- Moreover, we look for creative people with artistic skills to paint and decorate the walls of our restaurant
4- We would also need help from informaticians/graphic designers to make an efficacious website and make a logo
5- Finally, we are looking for craftspeople to renovate the kitchen
At the yurt :
1- Building projects : we look for help in designing and optimizing the huge free space we have. We have the tools and materials and just need people like you to plan small houses for sleeping, paint and decorate the place and build stone walls. People with skills in working with wood and steel are more than welcome to continue building the structures- if you have this skills contact and tell us about your work history :)
2- we are looking for farmers or gardeners to build an organic garden to grew tomatoes, eggplants, cabbage, zucchine, peppers, etc.. and to plant trees

We want to learn from each other as much as possible: you will help my mom improving her english and she will love to teach you arabic or hebrew if you want. In the restaurant, you will also be in contact with a lot of local people and tourists from all around the world.
Accommodation
You will offer you two private rooma for and one room in the yurt. in total three rooms.
Food is included, and don't worry you will be able to taste all the delicious meals we cook for our clients and eat enough 3 times a day :)
What else ...
Best location in the Middle east, you may feel like in heaven! The region is really wild so it's the perfect place to hike, explore the mountains, the rivers, the villages and the historic place (Caesarea philippi) around.
