Description
I have flexible availability until May 2026. My place offers space for your creativity and practical help as I get ready for a personal event early simmer. The work can be summarised as various DIY and creative tasks and grounds maintenance . No experience needed. It’s a simple but comfortable place and ideal for a couple of friends travelling.
Located in a charming rural area, right on the edge of a forest, it’s is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and those wanting to get away from it all ! There are cycling and walking tracks, allowing you to explore the surrounding countryside and forests. It’s isolated but just a 15/20 minute drive or a scenic 40 minute / 1 hour bike ride away lies the spa town of Bagnoles-de-l'Orne and La Ferté Macé complete with all the shops and amenities you need. Both have scenic lakes. I have two bikes available for you to go exploring.
It’s isolated but fast WiFi and plenty of music.
If you ever feel the need for a change of scenery, I can drop you off / pick you up at a nearby train station, Argentan, where you can reach Paris in just 1 hour and 50 minutes. This is the easiest way to reach the property.

This opportunity offers a chance to acquire DIY skills and immerse yourself in a relaxed environment. The environment I strive to create is stress-free, making it an ideal setting for one or two helpers to work and socialise together. Located in a countryside area, it serves as a perfect escape.

It’s very rural so there is not much opportunity to be involved in French culture or learn French as I’m English. but if you’re looking to be outdoors, have fun and enjoy the outdoors it’s a great place. The priorities at the moment are DIY and in the field and garden.

Accommodation in the main house may require sharing if there are two helpers. The house offers a well-equipped kitchen and shower. Wood stoves provide the main heating. Meals can be adapted to your preferences and dietary needs, and we can collaborate in preparing them together.
What else ...
Although the location is quite rural, I am more than willing to provide transportation to nearby local towns or the train station. If you enjoy hiking or cycling, there are numerous trails in the area for you to explore. If you prefer to relax indoors, you can unwind with a film on Netflix etc or enjoy music. The house itself offers a great space for simply chilling out, with ample outdoor areas to enjoy as well. WiFi is fast fibre.
