    🌻 Availability:
We’re looking for 1–3 helpers sometime between 10–28 November 2025 (flexible on exact dates).

We are a friendly family of five living on a 2.5-acre lifestyle property on the edge of beautiful Oberon in the Central Tablelands of NSW. We’ve been here for 13 years and love our garden, the peace and space, and the bush surrounds — though recently life and work have meant parts of the garden need some love again! This will be our first time hosting Workawayers and we’re excited to share our space and meet new people.

Our little hamlet is 1100m above sea level. Days can be warm in November, but evenings are often cool — especially under the stars.

Georgie works in higher education and loves cooking, gardening, reading, and bushwalking. Matt is a designer who loves gardening, bushwalking, music and film. We also have three kind, funny kids (ages 6–11) who are used to having adults around and are friendly and easygoing.

The kids are especially welcoming and love international visitors. You will be in a small hamlet of around a dozen houses, surrounded by rolling paddocks. We can help with ideas for further travel in rural NSW and beyond. You will have your own space and plenty of time to enjoy things for yourself as well as company with us.

    🧤 What you’ll help with:
Tasks vary depending on the day and your interests. Some examples:
    - Helping tidy parts of the garden, including weeding, pruning, mulching, planting seedlings
    - Getting the veggie patch thriving again
    - Caring for our chickens (feeding, topping up water, cleaning the coop)
    - Light property maintenance or simple DIY (e.g., helping us enclose the top of the chook pen)

We ask for around 21 hours of help per week, which can be spread over days however works best for everyone.

Our home is relaxed, warm and respectful. We love good conversation but also appreciate quiet time.
