    Description

Welcome to our cozy countryside home on the side of Arroo Mountain, in County Leitrim - just a stone’s throw from the seaside town of Bundoran. We are a family of 4 - Adam and Vica - as well as a little boy aged 8 & a new born girl. We share our little farm with a dog named Cúán, some chickens, ducks, and two little cats, cinnamon & honey.

Our house and farm is a work in progress, but it’s nearly complete—cozy, warm, and perfect for relaxing in a peaceful setting. As it is an old refurbished cottage there is always something to fix.

We love sharing the outdoor lifestyle and have bikes available for you, as well as surfboards you can borrow to catch some waves in Bundoran and other waves in the area. If you are into the outdoors, there is always plenty to do!

We are new to Workaway as hosts and looking forward to meeting some lovely people.

WE ARE FULL FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR AND ARE STARTING TO HOST AGAIN IN SPRING 2026. 😊

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We’re big outdoor enthusiasts who love hiking, surfing, and connecting with nature. Music is another passion of ours—whether it’s DJing, folk music to Nu jazz etc, it’s always part of our lives. So if you love music sessions and can play an instrument, we would love to hear it!

We’re very social and love having friends over for meals, drinks, and great conversations. As big foodies and wine lovers, we enjoy sharing good company and meaningful connections. If any of these resonate with you or are things you’d like to explore further, our home might be the perfect fit for you!

  • Help

    Help

During your stay, there will be a variety of creative projects to help with, which may change weekly depending on our priorities. We’re looking for enthusiastic help with both light duties around the home, garden, and smallholding. We will be doing the tasks together and you might also be doing tasks independently at times. We are happy to share all our knowledge and we would love to hear what skills you have to share!

Some of the tasks you may be involved in include:

    In the Garden & Outdoors:

Planting in the polytunnel and building vegetable beds
    Growing, maintaining, and harvesting vegetables
    Improving the vegetable garden
    General gardening and landscaping
Assisting with BBQs and outdoor fires

    Around the House & Sheds:

Painting rooms, sanding, and adding shelves
Cleaning and tidying both inside and outside
    Organising sheds and storage areas
    Helping prepare and cook meals

Feeding animals and maintaining their areas
    Hatching eggs from our chickens
Helping with our traditional turf footing (a part of our heritage)

Welcome to our cozy home perched on the hillside of Arrow Mountain, overlooking the serene beauty of Lough Melvin. It's a peaceful retreat with endless activities just outside the front door—whether it's hillwalking on the trails right behind the house or catching waves while surfing in Bundoran.

We offer our spare double room for traveling guests, a space designed to make you feel at home and completely at ease during your stay. The bathroom is a shared bathroom. We have a big kitchen and living room area with a fire place as well as a piano which everyone is welcome to use, as we love music in the house.

As there is an 8-year old child in the home it can be busy at times, but he is a good little guy and loves hanging out and doing creative things. We also have a little baby girl.

When it comes to food, we kindly ask guests to take care of themselves for breakfast and lunch, we make dinner in the evenings. Occasionally, we might host group dinners, and you’re welcome to join.
