  Volunteer Program May-September 2025 - Vadvirág Teaház
  
  Our teahouse has been operating for five years in Bér village, located in the biologically diverse Cserhát region of Northern Hungary. This is an educational space where we demonstrate the sustainability and diversity of rural life while co-creating the environment with the visitors. Here, you can get an insight into Hungarian herbal culture not only theoretically but also practically.
  
  Who are we looking for?
  
  If you're interested in the world of herbs, want to immerse yourself in knowledge, and actively participate in collecting them, this is the place for you! We are looking for volunteers who are happy to join us and assist with daily tasks. The volunteer period lasts from May to September.
  
  What do we offer?
  
  For volunteers, we provide accommodation and full board for periods of 2-4 weeks. This year, you'll stay in an independent guest house that is modestly furnished but located at the edge of the forest, offering a beautiful natural environment. During the day, we work with flowers, and since rural development here takes place across several projects, it's important that you come with an open and independent mindset.
  
  What we expect:
  
  •A special interest in herbs or adobe/cob building.
  
  •Motivation, openness, kindness, and commitment.
  
  •Acceptance of rural lifestyle and the nature-based environment.
  
  •Independence, as multiple projects run simultaneously at the teahouse.
  
  •It's an advantage if you come with a partner (friend or romantic), as shared work and time are always more enjoyable.

  We are a couple of passionate nature lover, Lili and Daniel.
  Lili is a lover of medicinal plants, graduated as a medicinal plant technologist and works as a kind of forest witch. She collects the plants and processes them using natural methods. Using the natural power of the sun in a drying loft, she dries the plants from which she creates preparations using different techniques. If you want to learn about the effect, application, collection and cultivation of herbs, you can join her in his daily work. You can expect colorful work processes, among fragrant and colorful flowers. In addition to collection and processing, Lili also organizes workshops and retreats which you can join by selecting and booking the appropriate time.
  Dániel is a kind of renaissance man, an analog old-cool face, who deals with adobe architecture, multi-faceted woodwork, fermentations, gardening, and robots.

  Our values:
  
  - It is very important for us that your interest in medicinal herbs or adobe is highlighted. There are very few similarly high-resolution locations, and we know that.
  - Our goal is to share our knowledge and our lives with our MOTIVATED, OPEN-SPIRITED, KIND friends, who are committed to learning about medicinal plants and clay construction.
  - We live in a modest place, modestly and happily. Please connect if the rural environment is an acceptable level of comfort for you.
  - It is important that you maintain a good relationship with yourself, because then you will be very good with us too!
  - We can provide good accommodation and food for two people at the same time.

  A Vadvirág teaház az észak Magyarországi Cserhát biológiailag sokszínű Bér falujában működik öt éve. Ez egy edukációs tér, ahol a vidéki életforma fentartható és sokszínű világát mutatjuk be, és alakítjuk az ide látogatókkal közösen. A teaházban a Magyar gyógynövénykultúra elméleti és gyakorlati ismereteibe kapcsolódhatsz be. Az utóbbi öt évben több mint száz önkéntes/diák/barát vett részt a tavasztól őszig tartó közös tanulásban/munkában. A teaház történetéről, és mindennapjairól és a tevékenységeinkről az instagram oldalunkon tudsz tájékozódni
  
  Lili a gyógynövények szerelmese, gyógynövény-technológusként végzett és amolyan erdei boszorkányként tevékenykedik. Gyűjti a növényeket és természetes módszerekkel feldolgozza azokat. Szárítópadláson a nap természetes erejét használva szárítja a növényeket, melyekből különböző technikákkal készítményeket alkot. Ha szeretnél tanulni a gyógynövények hatásáról, alkalmazásáról, gyűjtéséről és termesztéséről, hozzá tudsz csatlakozni mindennapi munkálatai során. Sokszínű munkafolyamatokra számíthatsz, illatos és színes virágok között. A gyűjtés és feldolgozás mellett, Lili szervez workshopokat, táborokat, kitelepüléseket is, ezekhez a megfelelő időpont kiválasztásával és lefoglalásával csatlakozhatsz.
  Dániel amolyan reneszánsz ember, analóg oldscool arc, aki vályogépítészettel, sokrétű famunkákkal, fermentációkkal, kertépítéssel, és robotokkal foglalkozik.

  Értékrendünk:
  
  
  -Nagyon fontos számunkra, hogy a gyógynövények, vagy a vályog felé érdeklődésed kiemelt legyen. Nagyon kevés hasonlóan nagy felbontású helyszín nincsen sok, és ezt mi is tudjuk. -Célunk azokkal a MOTIVÁLT, NYITOTT LELKŰ, KEDVES, barátainkkal megosztani ismereteinket és életünket, akik elkötelezettek a gyógynövények megismerésében, vályog építésben.
  -Szerény helyen élünk, szerény módon, és boldogan. Kérlek akkor kapcsolódj, ha a vidéki környezet számodra elfogadható komfort fokozat.
  -Fontos, hogy önmagaddal alapvetően jó kapcsolatot ápolj, mert így velünk is nagyon jól leszel!
  -Egy időben két fő részére tudunk adni szállást és ellátást jól.

  Campervan (fits up to two people so good for a couple)
  Or the 5 star option of accommodation in a tent or hammock
  
  
  Food: If possible we just eat organic food, together at the table minimum x2 day.
  We have a kitchen in the house with a gas stove and electricity, limited 4G wifi possible in the area

  Let me know, before you arrive, sometimes I have shuttle option that leaves directly from Budapest (Hintalo) to Ber .
  
  There is also the option by coming by public transport to the main base, bus leaves 2 times a day.
